Thread: what the hell is going on here?

I recently started a new job in the retail industry. More specifically a supermarket. Its been a week so far and I've had a few women/girls (customers) look at me with hungry intent which i have ignored, but there's something else that's not right. There's an employee who by the sounds of it has been there a while and is married. Now we haven't spoken much but every time we have she calls me 'babe'. It's probably just a name she calls guys but I'm not sure. I'm not sure what to do about it either to be honest.

All i know if i was calling her babe the story would be very different.

Fix it. You could, with a nice smile, ask "Please call me Jesse instead of babe." Show no resentment.

Tell her not to call you that.

Or call her princess. How she reacts to that is how you should react to this.

If she's soon to leave, what have you got to lose? You can gain experience in sticking up for yourself in a positive way.
