Now then, just how much trust can I put into the “official” figures. How can anyone apply true scientific methods when the figures are under question?

That being said, the official deaths due to Covid here have jumped from 10-20 per week last year to 350 – 450 per week this year. That’s a HELL of a jump.

Thats the whole point of scientific method. Because any evidence can be false in some way or the other. Maybe the measuring equipment was faulty or primitive, maybe the procedure is expensive and hasnt been repeated enough times yet, maybe the people operating the equipment were incompetent...

.. or maybe deliberate lies by some entities.

This is why its necessary for a theory, ANY theory to be able to either explain an evidence or declare the evidence a lie. If the truthfulness of evidence is established beyond reasonable doubt (eg: saying BLM riots didnt happen) then the theory must explain it.

And not just that, you have to compete with other theories which are simpler, by Occam's Razor. Simpler can just be fewer number of transactions/changes in the description of the system.

With that said, what i said in my "government is lying" theory is that government is MOSTLY lying, not ALL lying. There is good evidence (from my personal pov, some distant family members), that covid is real AND dangerous to a specific section of people. People who are old, have some other diseases, smokers etc. There is also very hard evidence that the people who are young, healthy, no medical problems, often dont even fall sick to it.

The crux of scientific method is that we can NEVER know the truth about anything. What we have to do is to find out the best possible theory so we can be as efficient as possible in the reality and not running on fiction. So yeah, when evidence is false and shaky, thats the precisely THE moment to apply these methods.

We have the other figures.. and by different sources. The ones I mention with regards to covid that everyone with internet can access :

1. Number of months (approx) of BLM riots happened and with the intensity. This figure can be obtained from alt media, with many independent reporters.

2. Number of deaths/infections from countries which did NOT impose any lockdowns (Japan, Brazil, and to some extent even India). You can obtain these figures, again from alt media + independent journalists covering these.

3. Number of deaths/infections from more dangerous epidemics in the past and the reaction of government(s) of that time, and its comparison with today.


And I am yet did not include these which are kind of scattered all over internet and are too numerous to list, with solid video evidences and/or reports and publications directly from the sources in question :

1. Contradictory policies by government and health organizations regarding the epidemic itself. Sometimes they say masks work, sometimes they say they dont work, sometimes they say you need multiple ones.

2. Economic policies (from weird to downright suspicious) by governments during the covid lockdowns.

3. Extremely controversial vaccination strategy (there is a lot to it, not just in US and the west, but here in India too).

And lastly, and probably most important, your own personal data from your friends and families and their friends and families about their experience with covid if any.

I mean really, we have sooo much data around that it blows my mind how the government can publish a set of figures and that becomes the one and only source of information. We have internet and smartphones with live streaming capabilities, with all kinds of individuals roaming around the world feeding all that onto the internet.

Update:

It seems I was premature about the €2,000 fine for travelling outside the country. Currently it stands at €500 but the increase is being debated today. Also they’re considering sending people to prison thereby giving them a criminal record:
