    GYOW productivity burnout

Been practicing guitar like a maniac & trying to make computer music sound as natural as possible but bouts of depression caught up with me. Iíve relapsed to a state of RP rage here & there & always remind myself to keep going down the rabbit hole. Sometimes I just want to break the silence & tell the world fuck you! This is who I am! But to survive I have to be careful about it. Mgtow allows oneself to do what they enjoy but if you think about it chances are you might be the only mgtow in your neighborhood so thereís likely in my case beta simps around me that I canít rely on for a break away from burnout or a push to keep going. Iíve been working on this album for a few years nowówho knows how much longer it will take.

I have one strategy to deal with that, and I've been doing it for about two decades now. I self taught myself programming and then these days also learning digital painting, with the final aim to be able to make games. The one thing I do, which is actually very different from other one-man gamedevs do, and that is, not lock myself into one big project which is far out of my league and then spend years chasing it. I prefer keep doing smaller projects which are just one step outside my current comfort level. This way, I am perpetually challenging myself to new things, so I keep learning, but never really burning out. By this time, I have wrote several little games, testing one idea or the other. I even posted some of those on this forum.

With painting, I have more experience with drawing humans than animals or background. So I wont take up a challenge of drawing a very elaborate masterpiece consisting of several humans, animals and a background. Instead I'll simply take all the pieces one by one, then will combine two of these, and then three of these eventually. I'll let the growth to be organic.

This method has worked VERY well in my programming career, and is showing similar levels of success in painting too.

Also, I've also dabbled in sound generation from computer (and some very very primitive music). I'm curious about the actual problem you are facing if you are willing to disclose it. I mean the problem about sounding natural. The way you wrote it seems to me that its some synthetic sound generation not sounding like what you want it to be.
Unless stated otherwise, I am NOT presenting my preferences.

Preferences can be views, thoughts, opinions, philosophies, morals, values, ideology, imaginations, fantasies, fictions, god, soul, spirit...

I am using scientific method, its an algorithmic computation, designed to give highest efficiency and chance to win in a conflict, at a very high cost of mental discomfort of not adhering to preferences and spending time and energy on the computation.

Just keep pressure on forward momentum! No matter how much girth you're up against! Never let up, never stop pushing! Carving women out of your life runs contrary to our nature and unintended psychological consequences are expected, but nothing like our lives, fortunes, and happiness being torn from us as a matter of business as usual.

We live in a world that has no regard for natural law and good public order, therefore, those ramifications are much worse than the minor altercation we make to ourselves (regarding women) for the sake of our own safety, happiness, and survival.

personally, I'll never feel the pain of a broken heart again and better off for it! (scuttling your heart doesn't come without side effects, but mild compared to the lethal disease they now call marriage or relationshits!

You'll be okay, when you're all out of drive, a little push goes a long way! Consider this a push!
If government forces an experimental vaccine on you it's citizen, sure as hell's hot, it will assume it has the obligation to make all your medical decisions.

    Re: GYOW productivity burnout

Burnout is often borne out of frustration.

Maybe you’re putting too much pressure on yourself. Creating something like music or art I imagine should be an enjoyable experience although I have no experience of either of these endeavours.

I assume you have an idea of what you want the final outcome to be and are eager to get there.

Push yourself to find new solutions to your problems, but don’t push too hard. Sometimes these things take time. Enjoy the journey rather than concentrating too hard on the final outcome, the solutions will come.

Also, don’t be afraid to abandon one particular path; maybe there’s another way to accomplish your goal.

You have a whole wealth of information at your fingertips due to the internet, use it as a tool.

And don’t be afraid to take a break. Sometimes solutions to a problem come when you’re looking elsewhere.

As for depression I have quite a bit of experience here both my own and with family / friends. Contrary to popular belief as far as I can tell depression is a choice. Choose otherwise. Don’t let your mind wander to the dark side. I know this sounds overly simplistic but it’s true.

Allocating specific times to working on your projects then setting them aside can help.

Eating and sleeping regularly and properly, and getting out in to fresh air really do help.

Here’s one you probably won’t hear elsewhere:

When making meals, put on some upbeat music you like (not your own or you may start being critical). Sing along and dance about the place as you move around the kitchen, even make up your own words reflecting what you’re doing. Maybe this sounds like lunacy but it really is great therapy. And it works even if all you’re doing is sticking a frozen pizza in the oven. In other words, don’t take yourself too seriously; have a laugh at yourself every now and again.

But most importantly don’t worry too much what others think of you. I know socialising is a big problem for many MGTOW and this can cause its own problems. Trying to explain to them (blue-pillers) what you see will only lead to more frustration.

People often only see what they want to see. What difference does it really make if they aren’t aware of who you really are? This is an impossible task anyway no matter your own stance. Blue-pillers mostly aren’t bad people and you’ll often be surprised at just how much they do see, especially as they get older. Don’t try to explain yourself to them and do try to take a light-hearted approach. Worrying about this is about craving acceptance and is possibly even a route back to the farm.

    Also:

You’re going your own way; don’t try to take others with you.

Sorry if I went on a bit or mistook your O.P.

    Re: GYOW productivity burnout

Thanks for the replies & feedback gents! Good points brought up. I needed this & after reading this morning I actually felt a relief of stress. Took a shower, threw in laundry, ate, hydrated & I'm good to go but without overwhelming myself.

As for the music sounding natural well. I grew up not being able to have access to an instrument or having the luxury to learn one as a kid so I lost out on alot of practice. I finally got around to "painting" layers of virtual instruments upon my recordings via clicking, cutting & pasting, editing etc. very time consuming process but expected. I finally gave it a go performing on my keyboard controller in real time instead of clicking notes but being in whats called the "groove" to sound natural to our ears is a difficult process as you don't want to make your music sound like a robotic chucky cheese band if you know what I mean.

Let me know if that makes sense rkspsm & I can go into more detail if you wish. As for what Jackoff mentioned, I jam out almost everyday to other music whether it's air drumming or "air guitaring" just to keep the creative drive in me. It's really all I have. I pushed myself to do lots of things in my life that other dudes haven't atleast attempted these days & go straight for this career live gamer path without ever getting their hands filthy around ductwork or cleaning shit up on a loading dock.( I've picked up bottles of piss once). Audio editing, sound design, music is just my true calling so I might as well go for it. Like the mgtow solution says-Follow your dreams!

Oh okay, you are talking about the tune itself sounding natural or not, that is the sequence of notes and chords etc, not what I thought. But regardless, unless you already know about digital sound synthesis, I think you may find them extremely useful in your venture of generating electronic music. You mentioned clicking on the notes, from there I am assuming some composition software where you can add several tracks, and choose any instrument for each track and arrange your notes there.

But that is only half the fun, the other half is generating your own instrument !! The downside of course, is that its an own field in itself and quite detailed. To get an idea of what it can do, watch this. When I tried those, I actually used a completely different software than the one used in the video, but if you understand the core concepts, you should be able to copy these over to whatever software you use.

If you didnt know about these but are curious about it to know more, feel free to post any questions or queries here. Though I myself am not great at this, but still dabbled enough to help out a beginner out of some tricky concepts and quirks.

Rejecting the marriage, traditional life, kids does free up massive amounts of your time and money and using it productively is a challenge.

Yes, binge watching net flicks, spending massive amounts of time on video games etc is a waste of your life.

However I have noticed elements within the manosphere of certain "lifestyle coaches" pushing things to the opposite extreme where you are a failure if you are not relentlessly productive in the gym, your online business etc.

I have hit a slump in the last couple of months with my personal fitness plan, am I burned out ?, it is just the hot weather ? or the fact the pubs have reopened and I'm drinking more again ? or a combination.
Men are becoming MGTOW by the millions, most without ever having heard the term. They are simply doing what all living organisms finding themselves in a toxic environment do. They adapt to it or remove themselves from it. Females are not liking either the adaptations or the removal.

All my troubles were a derivative of drinking, large, medium, and small troubles came from drinking, this I know now, back then I didn't!

Besides, who wouldn't want to drink themselves to death in a world turning to shit?

Well now Iím building a guitar with a custom design so that gave me a little boost! I produce industrial metal. Basically heavy shit but with a little more noise to it. I also have orchestral/melodic elements added as well. I have virtual guitar instruments that are basically prerecorded samples/audio that I matchup with my recording but my own raw guitar work needs wellówork! The drum sampling Iím trying to perform is even trickier to sound like a groove even though Iíve had real acoustic drum samples for years now. I remember I bought them for $12 when I was younger & kept them on a harddrive. Pearl, Zilgian cymbals, DW, Mapex, all the big names..what a steal!
