First off, I had a long hard day working at the polls Tuesday. Voters were pouring in one-by-one all day. I scanned a total of 760 voters on my half of the church chapel I worked at. It was a hard long day, but I was willing to do it, because I wanted to work and serve my people, even if it's just for one day. But hey, it's $250 I'll make that I can put towards buying the BowFlex machine next month.
Anyway.
I'm VERY disappointed with the election results here in the state of Illinois. I voted red all the way, my family on both sides voted red all the way. Boy did we lose big. It was a blue wave. JB Priktzer won re-election against my man Darren Bailey. With all the shit JB did to us: high taxes, lose of jobs, lose of citizens, putting our jobs in bankruptcy during the lockdown, mask mandates, high crime in Chicago; Bailey should of won this one. All but one US House seats went Democrat. My Congresswoman is well, a black woman and she got reelected to her 3rd term. I thought Kane County (where I live) was more red, but it looks like Democrats from Chicago moved to the suburbs. If it weren't for towns like Elgin and Aurora voting deep blue, we would of won that Congressional seat against Laura Underwood. What sold to get young voters to go Democrat in this state was abortion rights. All you heard in attack ads was abortion rights, women's right to choose were under attack by MAGA extremists and they campaigned on it real hard. So never mind high gas prices, high food prices, crime, taxes; abortion rights, women's rights and climate change and democracy won the under age 30 vote. So a bunch of pussy whipped college people voted with their heads up their asses instead on real life issues. Nice going worthless gaming college low lives; you screwed up again!
However there is some bright side when it comes to the Federal level. It looks great for Republicans to win the House majority. Where it stands right now as I type this message is (Dems: 185, Republicans: 208, 218 for majority). So it looks like Biden will have some adjusting to do in his presidency. The Senate is still iffy. Right now it the Republicans have 49 seats and the Democrats have 48. It looks like Nevada will go Republican; Arizona could go either way; and Georgia will go into a December 6th runoff. I can't believe that Dr. OZ from Pennsylvania lost to a guy who is even more brain dead than Biden (Fetterman had a stroke) and had never had a job and lived on his parent's trust for 53 years and still won.
So I'm upset with Illinois going blue; but I feel good about the US House going Red and a half/half path to the Senate.
