I need a new place to live (roomate). I have been battling with living around an older couple that reached a breaking point.
Prayers. please.

Try the classifieds instead, prayers are reserved for when the shit hits the fan, and the blade hub comes flying off the axle!
Do like a fish and change direction in millisecond! Your future needs to be built, it doesn't just happen on its own! And guess who's the final engineer overseeing its construction?
I don't ask god for much, I wait for him to tell me when to slow down or stop! Possession is 9 tenths of the LAW! Like doing something first then finding out you needed a permit, it's done, nobody the wiser, and you're onto building something else!

Sorry to hear that, Captain. It has to suck. The part time college kids at work used to tell me roommate from hell stories all summer long.
Made me appreciate my own gig, that's for sure. My junky old house was cheap enough I never had to have roommates, even when I was poor.
Two years running, fires have come close to my neighborhood. Nobody burned, but it was a wakeup call. What I want now is a camper to go with the rebuilt truck. Then if I did lose my place, at least I wouldn't be living in a tent till I figured something out. A camper would be nice visiting friends too. I've lived alone too long to ever be happy in the roommate world.
I don't know what the answer is, both renting and buying seem to be a sucker move with the market as high as it is now.
Every day I make the world a little bit worse.
Why not take out the combustible material? I've been doing that for 2+ decades, and refuse to have nearby shrubbery, especially the evergreen variety, large and small, I kill them all! I used to live in a lifeless pine forest, but thanks to my Husqvarna 372-XP and a little balls, there's now lots of birds, squirrels, rabbits, dragonflies, dear, turkey, turtles laying eggs in the sand I brought in and lots of firewood along the way.
I even have a 16hp centrifuge self priming fire pump I got from one of the colleges west of me, haven't had the need to set it up yet, but I for one, know what an encroaching unmanaged forest brings! Windowmakers make up to 10% of my firewood, this forest I dwell in has reached maturity. I'm one good hurricane or ice storm away from being trapped by miles and miles of downed trees all bound up like interlocked pixy-sticks, each one a loaded mouse trap waiting for one wrong cut with a chainsaw!
I don't know how some people can sleep during a storm with 150,000 lbs. of unprocessed lumber (kinetic energy) looming over their house? I already lost a car and truck here from two separate trees during the same storm!
Tree huggers around here may just find themselves sawed off at the knees!

Good luck man. I hope you find a new place soon.
Your probably right, I'm just not that skilled at towing trailers. I do have hundreds of hours driving overloaded tree campers so I'm good there.
A trailer would be nice as guest quarters, and I'd like visitors a lot more if they weren't underfoot all the time. So, a trailer wouldn't be bad.
They don't restrict anyone's travel where I live, but general poverty produced by the pandemic has a lot of people staying home. Since they can't get away from each other the way they used to, the natives are restless. Domestic violence calls are way up compared to pre pandemic numbers, though the authorities don't seem to think it's worth mentioning. But I see more people on the news getting stuck and shot in one week than there used to be in a month.
Every day I make the world a little bit worse.
Gentlemen.
God has blessed me! I have found a place that won't completely destroy my meager income. I'll be paying about 1/3rd of my income for rent and utilities in a 4 bedroom house shared with 3 other people. So far it will be two other single men in their 40's and late 50's.
This leaves one room open for another man (or woman).
I'll move in on Saturday, October 1st.
Cheers!
I’m elated for you. And it took less than a week? I’m in awe.
A bit of unsolicited advice – don’t stop.
See this as a pit stop on life’s motorway. Gather your funds and look to a future where you don’t have to share.
Get to know your new roomies and have some fun but never take your eyes off the prize.
I stand by my previous post. It was the Almighty God that delivered me from this inherently flawed situation. There is no other explanation.
I have been worried sick since I was given my 30-day notice to vacate. Things are still fine with my landlord. He even said that it this couple moves out, I am welcome to move back. This just goes to show you how things can change.
I have had an angel speak to me in elevator while my late wife Mary was slowly dying. This is not an exaggeration, but a fact. I give credit where it is due.
I care not what any man has to say, God is still on the throne, and in charge of His Kingdom. I performed my duties with due diligence and He gave the increase. There is no God but the Living God; the God of Abraham and Issac.
No king but Jesus.

Awesome, i did this as well when i moved countries a few years back. always had someone to shoot the shit with, and to show me around in the beginning, when i didnt know anything in the country. But still having your own space is awesome. Too bad the dynamics of the house changed when some gurlz came into the house as GF's of some guys, i moved out and bought my own place in the woods after that.
