Thread: Christmas Shopping in a Mall? Watch Out For Juggers! ‘juggings’ are soaring; 2022 totals already higher than 2021

The Houston Police Department’s own Robbery Channel on Youtube showcases several examples of juggings. The videos clearly show criminals following victims in parking lots or to their own homes and robbing them day and night.

Comments: I had a incident that happened to me last week in Walmart. I was shopping and notice this young man that seems to be on every aisle with me. So I went to the other side of the store and he showed up there. He was acting like he was shopping but he kept his eyes on me. I knew than he was up to no good. I hold my purse closer and push my cart up to front of store. Left everything and went to my car, looking behind me and checking to see if I was followed. When I got in the car I called my daughter to tell her what had happened. I didn’t go home I went to other places but were checking my surroundings. Ladies be careful and pay attention to people vibes and your surroundings.

With the leniency on crime and criminals as a whole thanks to the activists and politicians we can expect a lot of this to occur.

Really? They have to have a word for this? And a stupid word, at that? No longer do we say, watch out for people trying to rob you. Instead, we now shift emphasis to the criminal. So now, he's a jugger?

Is this how the masses manage concepts? Sheesh.

Sometimes, labeling can give something a respect that it doesn't deserve. What used to be inelegantly described as someone spraying graffiti, otherwise known as graffiti vandalism, became tagging, and the vandals became known as taggers, and felt respected for it. It became a step up from vandalism. The word vandal got replaced. We honored them in this way. If you want to separate a person from a negative behavior, don't bestow them a niche.

Maybe the reason for the word jugger is that it rhymes with mugger. It might also be influenced by the slang meaning of jogger.​ Then again, maybe whoever coined the term just liked Insane Clown Posse.

I bet your onto something, given social media's annoying penchant for creating portmanteaus instead of consulting their own vocabulary. "Robber" is not a fancy word and should be a well-known term. Shudder to think otherwise. Maybe it's not in the Social Psychopath and Amoral Lifestyle Handbook, given out at college campuses.

If somebody follows me home they may find the neighborhood intimidating, we have lots of signs, like "Protected by Smith&Wesson", "NRA", and my favorite "Caution we don't call 911", it's the kind of place you could fall in hole and get buried.
