I advise people to save time and energy and just dont go to vote, but if they have to vote and are even semi rational person, I advise them to NOT vote for the candidates they like. My reasoning is that, its better that an enemy charges the front gates while beating the war drums, instead of silently stabbing from behind when nobody is looking. The candidate you end up liking the most, or hating the least, is probably because he/she is a better snake than others.
A clever fighter not only wins, but excels in winning with ease. His victories bring him neither reputation for wisdom, nor credit for courage. He wins his battles by making no mistakes. Making no mistakes is what establishes the certainty of victory, for it means conquering an enemy that is already defeated.

What good is voting in a corrupted system where the laws are concrete fucked-up? We are a nation of laws gone wild!
A man's only "safe space" be in his sovereignty, free from the illusions and misconceptions of a unity that only serves to bind him to tyranny and perdition.

I agree to a certain extent, but there also something to be said for George Carlin’s take on voting. I can’t remember the exact quote but it went something like:

If you take part in the system then you are part of the problem and have no right to complain. I, however, am having nothing to do with your sham and therefore have every right to complain.

My official orders are to CEASE AND DESIST from voting, assembly, and participation, otherwise a criminal complaint may be filed against me.

That's right, I'm living, thinking, breathing indictment against the system fabricated by the system. My rights are not like your rights, my rights are locked down under law forever.

    Re: A question about politics.

Well, our election is over and results are coming in.

In the end I decided to spoil my vote along with about 18,000 others.

Since this is less than 1% of the turnout, and number-wise there is no way to distinguish between genuine protesters and those that fucked up their vote unintentionally I guess the protest will go unnoticed and uncommented on as usual. Ah well.
