    Looking for alternatives?

Sometimes I get to the point where I just donít want to know anymore. You watch/listen/read the news and itís so full of bias it beggars belief. You tune in to a T.V. show and thereís the same bias. It seems you canít get away from it. If you ignore the media as best you can, when you talk to others theyíll quite happily bring you up to date.

So Iíve been looking for alternatives.

Iím watching old quiz shows Ė something to keep me thinking, and old comedy shows Ė something to give me a laugh. A release from current everyday shit!

One Iíve come across, that passes the odd hour or two is this guy and Iíve been wondering if youíve come across anything similar.

Heís just an ordinary blue-pill guy that used to host pub-quizzes. When the lockdowns came he moved on-line and has made a bit of a name for himself. Good on him. From the very first week of lockdowns in the U.K. he started hosting on-line quizzes. For his efforts he has received an MBE from the Queen of England and from his altruistic intentions he has been able to carve out a life and a living for himself. Bravo.

Hereís a link to his youtube channel:

But I was wondering if any of you have come across anything similar. Not necessarily quizzes, but something as a distraction from current events.

    Porn ?

Ok was kidding. I have a suggestion but not sure if that'll work for you. I watch game (video game) tournaments/matches between pro players. Some games I watch are starcraft, warcraft 3, world of warcraft, dota, and then some games here and there. Sometimes some new game comes out and I watch its playthrough or speedrun on youtube (I cant find time to play games these days).

Then outside games, I sometimes watch people drawing landscapes. Try searching for "photo bashing" on youtube, should give some cool results.

Well, thats it from me, YMMV.
Unless stated otherwise, I am NOT presenting my preferences.

Preferences can be views, thoughts, opinions, philosophies, morals, values, ideology, imaginations, fantasies, fictions, god, soul, spirit...

I am using scientific method, its an algorithmic computation, designed to give highest efficiency and chance to win in a conflict, at a very high cost of mental discomfort of not adhering to preferences and spending time and energy on the computation.

    Re: Looking for alternatives?

I've stopped watching all TV news. Stopped listening to the radio, even in the car. I am now hooked on watching the OTA (over the air) TV "dot channels", like 5.2, 7.3, 13.3, etc. All free, I'm too cheap to have cable. There's a slew of dot channels in our area and they run reruns of every kind of older show. There's a network called BUZZR that plays the old game shows. I like to watch shows like Forensic Files, Unsolved Mysteries, and lots of crime reenactments, some with good narration, some not. I'm hooked on these shows. I've discovered City Confidential, an hour long crime examination where the first part of the show tells you all about the culture of a city, brief interviews with locals, then they bring the murder into it. Narrated by Paul Winfield, RIP.

Back in the 80s I never paid attention to the TV show Hill Street Blues but as reruns it's a do-not-miss show for me.

The old 70's Match Game show with Gene Rayburn reminds me of how un-PC the world was back then. Sexual innuendo was that show's entire gimmick. You'd be surprised the comments that they made that would cause street marches today! I've often wished that young people today could watch older shows to see how touchy everybody was NOT.

So, yeah, retro TV is my escape.

I would say that you have to go retro for you entertainment. Movies from the 80's were to me, the last of the greats. There's some good stuff later but it starts to get watered down with agenda.

Read books that haven't been tainted with feminism, equality, etc.

Work on not watching the TV or listening to the radio so much. Spend some time outdoors or with a loved one.

There are always alternatives. I do know how frustrating it is now because I'm a bit of a movie buff and all the new stuff is cucked.

I've noticed YouTube falling into that mote, all their political bias censoring has destroyed it as any kind of a community, popular channels like Alex Jones became ghosts in an instant, the first to fall in a long line of people in the X-hairs of a cult the world has never seen the likes of, and boldly they march over the dead and censored voices of indifference. I'm one of those in exile for voicing my opinion in plain English, no expletives, no emotions, just an opinion got me shadow banned on You-tube which made me decide to delete my channel, it was no different than turning off the mike like they did for Joe Biden, but for the exact opposite reason, intention, and mitigated outcome.

Silenced in the United States of America has become the accepted norm, so has watching criminals run free over and above the law to do as the please. First they came for Alex Jones then they came for me.

Right now there's a strong void that needs filling with something along the lines of Radio Free America but Internet Free America, where freedom of speech is actually protected and debated, not silenced because some find it offensive or counterproductive to their political ends.

If they can silence the President for whatever reason, they can silence anyone for whatever reason even destroy entire platforms like Parlor then nothing but crickets.

Gentlemen, the darkness is upon us, we're the only light there is and they seek to destroy us and do it in our face.

I dont know if its just me, but to me it seems like from a viewer's angle (as opposed to a content creator), the censoring is more heavy handed for only some groups of people, most likely people in western nations. So many "problematic" content creators have said in their videos that their subscribers get unsubscribed all the time.

And yet I have never been unsubscribed from the channels I watch regularly. If they have unsubscribed me from some channel I dont watch, then I dont really care. And on top of it, I am routinely recommended videos which are very problematic for the current narrative, way way more than mgtow (eg: talking about some particular religions).

Of course, youtube will sometime try to insert a video here and there filled with bs. One of them I remember was a video criticizing Poland for their policies regarding strict border control, another was a black girl being an awesome programmer and the most hilarious was bill gates' channel ! This is more of a rarity than norm, and I swiftly tell youtube to never suggest me videos from those channels. I dont know if it works.
