    What’s The Difference?

I came across this site this morning, found it an interesting concept and thought some of you might too.

Basically it tries to compare and contrast differences between the meanings of two words.

    Boring bullshit right?

Well let’s just say I wouldn’t recommend it for an evening’s entertainment, however we all have moments when we ask ourselves these questions. Maybe it would be worth adding to your bookmarks for when these moments arise.

    Re: What’s The Difference?

    Interesting post.

I have recently become very interested in the words and language. In this post-truth, fake news world, words and the meaning of words are ever more important.

I had a look at Equality vs Equity. This one surprised me. According to the website you have shared, Equality is: the effect of treating each as without difference; each individual is considered without the counting of their measurable attributes; treated as the same of those with differing attributes.

    Equity:
refers to fairness and equality in outcomes, not just in supports and opportunity.

So I guess what 3rd wave feminists are banging on about is Equity and not Equality. This means that if the result of a particular social programme does not result in equality of outcome, then you cannot have Equity.

Yet, I have only recently began hearing this word equity. I guess they know how to play the ropes.
A mother cannot raise a boy to be a man, not because he needs a father figure; but because she favours team vagina over her own son.

Tradcon women are the most manipulative of all kinds of women, because they infect you with false hope.
Radfems are your best friend, because they hate you and verbalise it - that's honesty!

The red pill rage is a process which takes many many years - so be kind and patient with yourself; you will overcome it!

I know what "equity means", it means I'm equally condemned with other property owners that were evicted from this development by court order in 1973, and equally placed under CEASE AND DESIST in 1997.

In other words, I'm one lawfully filthy motherfucker in any court of law! I got my mountains of paperwork to prove it, and plenty of press to back it up! I'm a walking legal stink bomb!

All thanks to this maniacal systemic situation.

The ball is in their court and thy dare not touch it! Shit always goes back to the sender! That's poetic equality! And the reason why women are so miserably unhappy and MGTOW laugh their balls off a thousand times a day!

Having a nice day is an art!

A place and time (where and when) the road to modern man's perdition ends abruptly and permanently.

I don't trust online definitions of anything. I'm familiar with the word equity since well before the internet and it never equated to "equality of outcomes" or certainly not as the feminists would measure it or how it is used to suit their aims.

My dictionary from 1973 is not infected with newspeak or adulterated by feminism.

From Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary, First Printing 1973:

Equity - n, pl -ties [ME equite, fr. equité, fr. L aequitat-, aequitas, fr. aequus equal, fair]

1a: justice according to natural law or right: specif : freedom from bias or favoritism
    1b: something that is equitable

2a: a system of law originating in the English chancery and comprising a settled and formal body of legal and procedural rules and doctrines that supplement, aid, or override common and statute law and are designed to protect rights and enforce duties fixed by substantive law
2b: trial or remedial justice under or by the rules and doctrines of equity
2c: a body of legal doctrines and rules of law

3a: a right, claim,or interest existing or valid in equity
3b: the money value of a property or of an interest in a property in excess of claims or liens against it
3c: a risk interest or ownership right in property

Definition 1a would seem to be the applicable one here and it is not identical to equality of outcomes. As we know, "equality of outcomes" in the modern feminist sense may require injustice, bias, and favoritism (ie. inequity) to achieve it.

Don't let women control the language. They've fucked it up enough. In fact, if I saw a woman pushing that word in the way women periodically jump to a new word as a shiny new bauble to keep their lips moving, I'd stop her right there and undermine her argument by arguing her ignorance.

Absolutely, and neither do I. But that doesn’t mean they should be ignored either. Words can and do change in meaning over time, and not always because of nefarious intent.

Take the word “awful” for example. If you look it up in any modern dictionary it will say it means something along the lines of something that is very unpleasant.

But if you actually take the time to look at the word:

    Awful
    Awe Full
    Full of awe and wonder
    Full of wonder
    Wonderful

The exact opposite (almost) of what it means today.

So, in this context, let’s look at your definition 1(a):

1a: justice according to natural law or right: specif : freedom from bias or favoritism

    Freedom from bias or favoritism:

From this it could be construed to mean that if one person can avail of something and another cannot then there is some sort of bias or favouritism going on. I’m not saying I agree with this interpretation but it is a valid one nonetheless.

To totally ignore online or modern definitions is a mistake. All it does is make communication between generations more difficult.

When you realise this it is no wonder older and younger people find it difficult to understand where the other is coming from: They aren't speaking the same language.

I'm sorry, Jackoff, I did not intend to come across like I was dismissing your original post. I've had only 3 hours sleep and went off on a line of thought overlooking any possible unwanted subtext.

Thanks for your reply. I think I'll lay low for the rest of today, sleep tonight.
