Thread: Introduction: K-Dog

Even though intros supposedly aren't required here any more, I'll give one and keep this brief.

I've been on various GYOW–type forums since 2003–2004, posting as "K-Dog" each time. The first was the old Proboards "Don't get married" forum that Lee Raconteur ran. After fembots got that board wiped, I moved to Nacho Vidal's forum, then to what is now known as TWJ and, more recently, Happy Bachelors.

Lifelong bad experiences with the opposite sex at first had made me think something was wrong with me. After finding some of the early websites by other men with similar experiences, including Angry Harry and Captain Zarmband, I realized it wasn't just me. Noticing what so many other guys I knew were going through with bad behavior from wives/girlfriends, divorce, child support, and just plain bad marriages drove home the point.

There's no point in bashing women or their behavior in this intro. You've heard it all before. As I push age 60, I realize that in some ways I was lucky not to have been married or saddled with children. I'm free and don't need that stuff now.

When Jag started this site, he accepted any of Nacho's refugees who wanted in, without an intro. Not that you'll find many still around, nearly all have moved on. So, you had two reasons to pass on an intro, had you wanted. Nice of you to follow the tradition though.

I always wondered where Nach found his membership, they were an awsome bunch. Ace once told me they came from some place called the pro boards, if I rightly recall. You remember anything about those guys?

Proboards was (might still be, I don't know) a site that ran blogs and forums. "Don't get married" (I think it was Dontmarry.com), which I was on, was one. Around 2010–2012 Proboards deleted several men's forums after attacks that involved posting material that violated TOS, such as advocating violence against women, and then complaining to Proboards about that material. You got that right, the people who posted the bad stuff then complained about its existence on the site. Proboards would wipe everything.

At the time several men's forums had just one main admin, which in that case was "Lee Raconteur". He obviously couldn't be everywhere at all hours of the day to monitor what was posted, so that's how the culprits were able to succeed in their attacks on his and similar sites.

For similar reasons, mainly because of the woke crowd and cancel culture, some other men's sites have gone dark. Some of the blogs and forums that remain became targets more recently and got wiped, such as Hartiste. We need to be on guard at all times since this site remains open. Looks as if the admins/mods are.

Truth is, I didn't remember. I was a seen and not heard rookie back then. But your join date says Sept. 14. Not many of those left! Welcome back just the same. K-Dog seems a good sort, any friend of his is fine by me.
