    Howdy, Friends!

Hello, everyone! Not sure how often I will post in these forums, but wanted to register to support the cause.

    Little about me:
Mid-40s engineer (with a bit of a psychology background, changed majors in college) in aviation living in Ohio. Veteran (19D). Lived in a few places around the US. 2 times divorced, last relationship (we weren’t married) lasted 16 years - she cheated, I told her to leave and she did. I thank the gods every day that I never gave into her pressure to get married in all those years. If we had been married she would have taken 6 figures out of my bank account, but instead she walked out of here with a 10’ u-haul full of her junk and 2k I was gracious enough to give her for a deposit on an apartment.

I see relations though the lens of evo-psych. Big David Buss fan. I was MGTOW before MGTOW was cool =) After my second divorce and a fake domestic violence accusation, I always look out for number 1 first.

Into all sorts of hobbies, currently balls deep in hand-tool woodworking. Also: photography, classical guitar, oil painting, metal detecting (not so much anymore), model building, videography, reading, darts, … the list goes on, you get the idea.

I’ve been reading the forums for a few weeks, really interesting stuff, and the “best of” is an absolute goldmine.

    Nice to be here!

    Hi Oldboy,

I know you say you were MGTOW before MGTOW was cool, but seems to me that that would place you either in one of your two marriages or in your last 16-year live-in relationship where you indicated fidelity was key. All of that is not MGTOW.

    So, you misunderstand MGTOW, methinks.

Your second post here says (emphasis mine):

I'm never going to say never to living with another woman, but as long as I have the means to maintain my own separate residence, I see no need to live with anyone. I like coming and going at all hours, and having all my hobbies anywhere I want them in the apartment.

When you live with a girlfriend/wife, THEY become your hobby. Saturday is about where you can take her to keep her entertained. I spend my Saturdays now doing whatever (and whomever) *I* want.

Fellas, get yourself into a position where you can afford to live alone. That being said, when you are young and poor, there is no shame in partnering up with a fuckable roommate. Just don't get too attached and watch your 6. If she hints at any drama, show her the door.
A credo of MGTOW is: Do not marry. Do not cohabitate. Do not impregnate.

MGTOW have unequivocally walked away from loving relationships with women. They are resolute about this. I don't see you as that. I see you as a man who is wiser than before in only the last 6-7 months since January but who will still enter into a loving relationship with a woman, this time without goo-goo eyes, cohabitation optional, fidelity still being key. You are not resolute. You haven't closed the door on a girlfriend relationship. You've leaving the door open. You just are going to have a different approach. In fact, your advice assumes we are living with women.

That's fine that you are where you are, wanting a steady woman to have to keep her in check, but this site is for men who do not do that. You are what we call purple pill, a blend of blue pill wants and red pill knowledge. You are not MGTOW.

Registered membership is for men who would not be here giving advice on how to keep a steady woman in your life. We are MGTOW.

Thanks for the thought, but I am closing your account as purple pill.

    Good luck.
