Question Question on MGTOW Dictionary sub-forum

Why is nearly every thread in this section closed?

I don't care whether the definitions are right or the definitions are wrong, why are we not allowed to comment on them?

Language and vocabulary are ever changing - they are almost like living things.

Are we dinosaurs, locked into pre-conceptions?

    FUCK THAT!

I would strongly recommend we be able to comment on the meaning of words. They are, as Jackoff says, ever changing and can be used to manipulate people, especially men.

Please, Jagr, if you would kindly let us be able to engage in these threads as well.
A mother cannot raise a boy to be a man, not because he needs a father figure; but because she favours team vagina over her own son.

Tradcon women are the most manipulative of all kinds of women, because they infect you with false hope.
Radfems are your best friend, because they hate you and verbalise it - that's honesty!

The red pill rage is a process which takes many many years - so be kind and patient with yourself; you will overcome it!

After my last interactions with Jagr I'm not so sure he would be open to my comments, but maybe I'll give it a try. Maybe. If I do, I promise to be at my diplomatic best.

To answer your question, random threads are closed for dredging up shit that's dysfunctional or in nowise MGTOW content, like an argumentative incel thread trying to shoehorn us into that category, exct.

Or someone with editing powers has a gem they don't want any turds piled on top, and other personal reasons and preferences.

    We are guests, after all...

Thanks for the clarification. I just wasn't sure what was happening.

I just wasn't sure what was happening.
Hmm... is this topic being misinterpreted?

Please know, nothing is currently "happening". It already happened. Back in 2014 when the MGTOW Dictionary was created. Threads in that sub-forum were closed. They were closed before a single comment was posted. Certainly for a sensible and contemporaneous reason. I don't know exactly, I wasn't involved.

Being a Dictionary and unique here, we can infer what the thinking may have been for closing its threads. We can infer and still ask for clarification, which the OP is doing.

I'm changing the Topic of this thread to something hopefully less prone to misinterpretation than saying "Shop Closed" which may have suggested the entire site.

To restate, there is no mass closing of threads on this site. No new restrictions.

If that's where the thinking was starting to go, I want to nip it in the bud.

BTW, Jagr asked me a few months ago to periodically start new threads, selecting something from the MGTOW Dictionary sub-forum and also something from the Best of MGTOW sub-forum, to bring to the newer membership these things for which they may be unaware and that they may not be seeking out for themselves on the site. You may have noticed any of them. Examples are:

    https://www.goingyourownway.com/mgto...y-ewalt-13389/

    https://www.goingyourownway.com/mgto...-nature-13300/

The original Best of MGTOW threads are not closed while the original Dictionary threads are closed, but the new threads I created that reference them are open and receive discussion.

A few weeks ago I paused adding these weekly new threads just to change it up and will continue them again.

At any time, if a member wants to comment on a MGTOW Dictionary term and that thread is closed, feel free to do as I did and open a new thread. At the top of your first post, show a link to the closed Dictionary thread so folks can better follow along. If you do this, perhaps make your thread's Topic reference the term and nothing too general.

    Thank you.

Yea, Shop Closed? What is this, Portland Oregon?

Next thing ya know, Jerkoff's gonna be starting fires, creating no go zones, and looting from other members!

I think Unboxed needs to nip this little rebellion in the bud!

Is that burning tires I smell?...

Interesting observation. Interesting because it’s completely the opposite of my intent. Funny how that can happen with the written word.

Of the 31 threads in this sub forum only 3 are open for further comment, including this one. I was in fact calling attention to an already established “no go zone” as you put it. This was the cause of my annoyance.

However, if my observation is going to cause confusion or a major issue between members then I totally agree that this thread should be closed – at least here I would know the reason.

I will even go as far as to invite Unboxxed to delete the whole thread if he believes it warranted.

Oh, and thanks for the name change. It was hilarious!

It looks like my satire went a little too far?
You need to watch the barbershop scene in Clint Eastwood's "Grand Torino" then you'll see more of the humor beyond the belligerent arrogant name calling.
    Enjoy....

    No, not too far.

If I had realised it was satire I would have been happy to join in. It's as I said earlier it can be very easy to misinterpret the written word - my mistake.

I'm from New England, our satire has a nasty streak of severe sarcasm in it, it hits our polite southern folk like a speeding sack of sledgehammers! The Boston to Bangor coast is where it originated, get hit with just one Nor'easter, and you'll understand...
