Women still want your sperm from beyond the grave

    From sheddingoftheego:

A somewhat creepy article titled Woman wins permission to remove her dead partner’s testicles in the hope of using his sperm to get pregnant provides some interesting insight as to how far society will stoop to ensure that the golden uterus and the primacy of motherhood is indulged. The article gives the following details:

A woman has won a legal battle to remove her late partner’s testicles from his dead body in the hope of using his sperm to have a child.
The Toowoomba woman was granted permission to remove his testicles in the Queensland Supreme Court.
The woman lodged an urgent application to perform the procedure the day after her fiance died unexpectedly in April, the ABC reported.
Several of the couple’s friends presented evidence in court supporting their desire to have a child together.
Justice Martin Burns granted the request to remove the testicles but said another application must be made before the sperm was used.
He said this would give the woman the chance to think about whether she really wanted to go through with her pregnancy.
In the meantime, the man’s testicles will be stored at an IVF facility.
IVF is a process by which a woman’s eggs are fertilised by sperm in a laboratory setting which mimics pregnancy.
Lawyers representing the deceased man did not oppose the application.

Ok folks, can anyone find me a comparable scenario of using a dead boyfriends testes for IVF for the female sex? If technology was such that a woman’s eggs and uterus could be removed after her death with the justification that they “wanted a baby” before she died, would we not see women’s groups up in arms over the “commodification of the female body” or some shit? Deceased individuals cannot have organs removed from their body for donation unless they’ve signed a donor card, the testes are somehow an exception when it is in furtherance of a borderline necrophilic case of baby rabies? creepy stuff
What's the kid going to think of this when he inevitably finds out? Psychological issues galore I'm sure. But the kid doesn't really matter in this scenario, it's all about this crazy woman and her obsession with getting what she wants.

this would make a good case for men to opt for cremation when they die.... I'm sure going to... (aside from donating my brain to science... the thought process disorder I have warrants more research...)

funny thing... but I recall vaguely an episode of "ER" where this wife and her husband's mother were debating over a similar issue... the mother said if they went ahead with removing the sperm... the mother would sue the hospital for "raping" her son (who was comatose and on life support)..

I don't know why I laughed out loud at this. The absurdity of the situation...

Maybe it's because of how easy she was able to get it without affirmative consent. Maybe it's because I just realized how emasculated men here in the us have been by the government. It's a mixture of many stuff that makes this so ridiculous and absurd, yet people still claim women are oppressed.
The world is a joke. honestly.

Sad, but one day our kids will have to visit museums to see what a lady looks like.

you might be... but I'm quite serious.... I figure that if they could examine my brain... they might find out how I developed my condition, and could find better ways to treat it (especially since it was inherited)
