    Women are strong, except…

Political life has always been fraught with accusations, threats and demeaning comments, but it seems now that women are more commonplace in western politics they’ve decided they don’t like it – but only when directed at them!

Women ‘leaving political life’ over rise in online abuse

The NWC published a social media toolkit for parties to tackle violence against women in politics, and has called for parties to take substantial action to support female members.

Recent research by data scientist Dr Ian Richardson found that between September 2020 and September 2021, women councillors in Ireland received eight times more abuse online than their male counterparts.
I wonder why? Could it be that they’re a bunch of misandrist, hypocritical moos? They’re fine with male politicians being accused of sexual abuse and predatory behaviour totally destroying their lives, both professional and personal, but it’s somehow different when women are the subject of attack.

Ms Lima said, however: “We noticed that (the codes of conduct) is addressed only on general terms, and this applies to all by members.

“So we’ll ask that those policies specifically address abuse towards female party members.

“Most parties have reporting mechanisms, but when they do they are regular complaining mechanisms.
    Translation:

“But don’t you see that we’re special and therefore we should have special rules that benefit only us.”

Feminism = equality my fucking arse!

If you can’t stand the heat, get back in the kitchen.

Women aren't strong. They cry when things don't go their way; they get mad easily; they cry victim when they're playing the "he raped me 40 years ago" card. Feminists keep saying that women are strong and independent but they really are not.
It's a man's world and we need to take it by the throat and make it give us what we desire.

Feminism = Women taking any and all special privileges that they can, even though they're already the ultra privileged gender, and the hell with gender equality.

Feminism is all about perpetuating men being exploited and treated as disposable. For feminists, a man refusing to be used by women = misogyny.

    Well said sir.

And this is exactly what this is, women "boo-hooing" and playing the victim card once again.

I'm politically dismembered, deceased, buried, and decayed by law.

I dwell on lawfully condemned land as an intricate aberrational part of a dead body politic, R.I.P. 1/10/1974, exhumed and reburied 7/18/1997. (the truth? THEY CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH, but I can, and do!)...

They are strong... (when it suits their political purposes and those of misandry). They are "weak" (when it advances their financial and personal ends).

    Bloody convenient, isn't it?

    Re: Women are strong, except…

So, how did they define "abuse"? If you leave that definition for women to define, always bet that they will keep it wide and loose. How many times do we hear women believe that anything less than putting women first is "misogyny"? How much of this could include the usual women-not-getting-along-with-women thing? How much is due to the drama that encircles women's lives no matter what their endeavor? How much is due to a lack of comparable reporting by men for whatever men's reasons (men have a higher tolerance, men have a stricter definition of abuse, etc.)?

And, notably, the referenced article is talking about gendered social media abuse. Talking about online abuse. Social media. Where women inhabit. Where criticism reigns. In the context of a coarse online world, don't we already know that women don't complain about what they dish out to men? I take the view that anytime women are not beneficiaries, they complain, no matter if that's ever fair.

Also, women are notorious liars when they want to affect outcomes. Can a woman resist complaining dishonestly if she perceives a benefit for her by lying?

“I have had a number of women councillors confidentially telling me they will not run again in 2024 as a result of what they’re experiencing.”
How many? How many as a percentage of all female incumbents? How many male incumbents are not running again for any reason?

Of course, she said she was told confidentially. Of course that means no proof will be offered for her statement. We are just supposed to believe whatever she says and however she says it. What else stated in this article must we trust without basis?

This is just another propaganda piece in the news.

Still, could it be that Ireland generally does not appreciate their women in politics? If so, what would that look like online? The will of the people?

I realise that this is something of a rhetorical question but I’ll try to answer it anyway.

Generally speaking I don’t think so. Politicians here are despised by many and for many and varied reasons, mostly historical in nature but gender bias would be low on the scale. There are no doubt those that believe women should not be involved but their numbers (IMO) are greatly outweighed by the new digressive standpoint. (oops, shouldn’t that be “progressive”?)

I don’t pay much attention to social media sites that are open to all so I can’t really comment, but I’d suggest that those female politicians that are coming under attack for being female are those that are pushing a pro-female agenda and as such deserve harsh criticism.

The political make-up here is entrenched in historical rhetoric and this has (again IMO) allowed movements such as feminism/LGTBQ alphabet/minority rights etc. to gain traction virtually unnoticed by the politically inclined until recently.

They were seen as trivial vote earners by the politicians jumping on the latest bandwagon, now those wagons have banded together to make one super bandwagon and God help anyone that dares speak out against them.

Except maybe on social media where anonymity serves as some protection against personal reprisal.

I bet this is the reason, beyond any other. Good point.

I've seen a fair amount of what female politicians are subjected to. It's roughly comparable to what male politicians contend with.

But I maintain that NOBODY has it worse than the Pope*. Read the replies to whatever he tweets if you feel like losing all faith in mankind. And yet, he hasn't cried in interviews about it.

Insulting no one in particular? Or just all who read this?

Rather than proactively starting ill will, how about if you omit saying stuff like this, and if anyone's response violates our Principles, then you can click the Report button, same as any other time?

I'm not RC so I don't follow this pope closely if at all. That said, he seems to spend a lot of his time pushing progressive causes that should be well outside the realm of his duties. If the pushback he gets is regarding the fact that he is not minding Christ's church as he is supposed to, then he should be taking that as a call for his own repentance and not doubling down as he seems wont to do.

As for the wider scope of politicians, anyone jumping into that fray should know going in that it is a dirty, messy, and ugly business and that everything one does and says will be scrutinized in the harshest of terms. Really, if these wilting flowers think it's bad now they should review some political commentary from 150+ years ago. It was truly vicious then.

Women are parasites. They play the weak card so someone can stand up for them. Indirect manipulation, or psycology or whatever it is. They know what they're doing. Its a game to them.

Bottom line, dont care what they do. If the moth, isn't interested in the light, it wont get burned.

We once had a junkyard dog named King. For every pound of food he ate, 5 pounds of dogshit came out, after several events where insurance adjusters stepped in his droppings, we dubbed it; "the Leather Loafer King Flop Hop", man that dog could shit!

If dogshit were holes, walking around our tow yard was like walking around the sea of holes!

King patties were 10 inch diameter and 1 inch thick! Cover the entire bottom of an unsuspecting shoe! We even had a few sliders!
