What do you like to do? No point in taking up a hobby that doesn't interest/excite you at all. Think about what appeals to you, what you would like to do. I know that sounds vague but without knowing much about you. Doing things just to tick a list etc isn't smart either as it seems you have worked out.

My favorite activities are creative pursuits — drawing, painting, writing fiction, filmmaking. I believe expressing your creativity is the most rewarding activity one can pursue.

My favorite activities are reading about self-improvement, how to start a business, book about Trump, and manly stories like Conan and Resident Evil, and the Man Cave Book. I also like to workout for about an hour each day during the week, then drink a frozen berry protein shake (yum, yum!). I watch workout videos on YouTube every day and learn of new workouts. I keep up with current events through conservative points-of-view like FOX News. I follow politics. I also enjoy building and/or fixing desktop computers (self-taught). I used to do audio/video editing and uploading gaming walkthroughs on my YouTube channel (Resident Evil Umbrella). As an autistic person, I enjoy putting together jigsaw puzzles (especially 3D). I collect my movie collection in 4K and sell off my Blu-Ray copy to offset the cost of the 4K. And lastly, I like to keep up with the MGTOW men-o-sphere, where I discuss MGTOW topics and stuff.

I used to play video games like it was a religion, but now I'm 39 and games just aren't as appealing to me anymore. I play once in every other blue moon. If Resident Evil would become just CGI movies and less on games, I would be happy.

I find that creating stuff is something that can be very satisfying to men. Not just the result. The process as well!

I think we men (most of us men anyway) are just biologically programmed to create/build things and enjoy it.

    Try these:

    1) Creating Art (drawing, sculpting, crafting etc)

    2) Creating machines/contraptions/furnitures maybe (woodwork, metalwork, plastic work)

Try to find hobbies that actually teach you what you want to learn. Where do you want to grow? What do you need to improve in your life, specifically? Health? Then dig into that subject -- read, watch Youtubes, take notes, implement changes. Some aspect of mental health (depression, anxiety, whatever)? Same thing: dig into it, make it a project to study it.

Playing videogames and watching Netflix is fine as entertainment/distraction, but it's not going to take you forward in any way (unless you're watching a documentary on Netflix that is relevant to you). The reading you're doing at night may be; depends on the material.

See if you can get outside somehow. Weather is beautiful, at least around here. Sunshine (vit D) is important for mood and health. Get your daily dose. Walking is also a hobby (though it doesn't take much practice, lol).

People collect damn near anything. Rich people of course, collect expensive things. I collect books on the Klondike gold rush, along with knives and a few other things. But it can be anything that interests you.

Probably not for you, but anyone who wants a world of their own, both tropical fish or model railroading will do the job. Some people go nuts. I was once big on fish, but haven't had a model train since I was a kid. Neither of these have to be expensive, though you can go that way if you want.

Too bad your not into making things, cause then when you get done you got something nice.

I play guitar. Acoustic. Women think it's hot too. They don't even care what I play they just want a picture of me playing.

Finding a hobby that interests you should not be that hard. Good heavens, there are hundreds and hundreds of things you could do. If you have no interest in any particular thing, then I don't know what to say, except to live life and experience a wide range of knowledge.

I have never lacked for ideas of things to keep me busy. If I had 2 or 3 more lives to live, I'd never run out of things to hold my interest.

They don't appear to care much. Oh well, we tried.

Continue your education, especially university. You will relatively quickly learn what you like and what you haven't any interest in. Load up on the liberal arts. Especially, history.

I love history too, but I don't learn it using a university setting, instead I read books about history.

For example, I've picked up a book on the History of Medicine, and I really feel privileged living in the 21st century, because medicine in the past revolved around pseudoscience and was full of swindle. Just about anybody could become a doctor back then, and some treatments involved drilling a hole through your skull. Viruses, and other diseases were viewed as "evil spirits" and in regions like Africa or Mesoamerica "doctors" were shamen who would give you a necklace or some other spiritual BS to presumably alleviate real, progressive disease.

It was not until the Islamic Golden Age (10-11th century) and Renaissance Europe that the foundations of modern medicine were starting to be established.

However, I still have around 3 hours of inactivity a day where I spend ruminating over past mistakes, present anxieties or future worries, and it would be wise to fill this time frame with something to prevent such rumination.

What should I do? I thought about learning a new language, but it would be a waste of time, because I never travel, I don't have people speaking a language I don't understand, and I never read novels or philosophy. I thought about learning Russian and French, but the feeling that I am making a bad investment is turning me off.

I can't exercise because of injuries that I can't afford to check out right now.

    So, what should I do?
I like the idea of learning French.

But if that doesn't work for you, you can teach yourself how to use Adobe Photoshop. A friend of mine is doing that right now and says he's having a lot of fun.

Alternatively, you could spend a couple hours per day job hunting. It's a bit of an employee's market right now.

I went completely outside the box last year and started painting with bob ross. I have never been into art or any good at any of that stuff but I couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed when I started getting better.

Don't forget about Hippocrates the famous Greek physician "The Father of Medicine", circa 5th century B.C.

Also, remember that the ancient Egyptians invented trepanning, the drilling of a hole in the skull to relieve pressure from a swollen brain caused by a severe blow. We know for certain that the patient lived because we can see growth of new bone around the hole.

PS: The term influenza (flu) originated from the term 'influence'. It was thought that a bad star was the cause (influence) of a patients illness.

I explore cool places on my adventure motorcycle and then take others to see what I've found, I work out, read a few books a week, spend a lot of time with my dog, cook, research and buy properties.
That's pretty much my free time.

This is where the MGTOW in me diverges from the philosophical pessimism in me. The MGTOW in me would tell you to explore different things till you find something of interest to you and drain it. The philosophical pessimism in me would say life oscillates on the spectrum of pain and boredom and boredom is a different type of pain, indeed suffering.
