What are your thoughts on prostitution?

My position is if you're in a country where it's legal and you want to get your rocks off then go for it.

But otherwise don't risk legal trouble over some trashy bitch. Especially in the US unless you have connections to get a "high end" escort (which cost a ridiculous amount of money and are absolutely not worth it! better off spending that money on something nice for yourself!), pretty much all the whores are trashy and drug addicted and definitely not someone you want to be around. It falls under my "I'm not going to let myself get screwed over because of some bitch" category, so for me part of being mgtow is not paying the way for whores and it's demeaning to your own self respect to be around a girl like that. Better to be celibate than to settle for a garbage girl just to satisfy the urge.

It's definitely a risk in the US, except for the parts of Nevada, where it's legal. I'm in favor of its full legalization because I'm for freedom. It's only illegal because we have a lot of freedom-hating politicians. Consenting adults should be free to pay for consensual sex if they want to.

Re: What are your thoughts on prostitution?

Iím not against the idea in and of itself, but thereís definitely a trashy, seedy, and dangerous side to it. I live in Nevada and there are just as many low-end street walkers as there are ďhigh-end escorts.Ē Iíve heard stories of guys getting robbed and assaulted in these situations. I had a few hookers since turning MGTOW, but decided to give that up entirely. The risk just isnít worth it and the sex becomes mechanical and boring.

I would much rather buy myself something nice than waste money on a hooker.

In Ireland it’s a bit of a grey area:

The law on selling or buying sex

Selling sexual services is legal in Ireland.

However, it is against the law:

    • To buy or offer to buy sexual services
    • To sell or offer sexual services on behalf of any person other than yourself on a street or other public place
    • Not to move if asked by a garda who suspects that you are loitering in a public place for the purposes of prostitution by any person other than yourself
    • To operate a brothel or allow a brothel to be operated in premises that you own or lease
    • To control or direct the activities of person who provides sexual services and profit from doing so
    • To compel or coerce someone to sell sexual services and profit from doing so
    Bold highlighting mine.

So, in Ireland it’s not illegal to be a hooker it’s just illegal to make use of them. I wonder who came up with this distinction? The whores get off scot-free and their marks are subject to prosecution.

In practice though I can’t recall anyone being prosecuted for using a prostitute so it’s a bit of a moot point, but this differentiation seems like psychological mumbo jumbo to me. It should be either legal or not, but here they want it both ways. Sheesh!

Morally speaking I find using another human being as a plaything and a cum-bucket distasteful to say the least. That said, if both parties are up for it then who am I to say they shouldn’t? It certainly seems more honest of the whore than of those that those that lead a guy on and bleed him dry with unspoken enticements that may or may not be fulfilled.

As for those I know that use prostitutes, they seem to see “getting their rocks off” as part of being a man however they choose to do it. It seems like they’ve been conditioned to believe this if you ask me, but again who am I to judge?

Re: What are your thoughts on prostitution?

It's legal in Australia (in most states anyway) under strict laws, brothels and escorts are the way to go. There are illegal brothels and escorts who do it outside the law but why anyone would take a risk with that when there are legal and safer options is staggering.

I wouldn't be using street walkers etc either.

Using prostitutes saved me a lot of time, money and heart ache that is for sure.

From a MGTOW perspective what I also realize is that society has created a situation where men don't dare speak to, let alone approach women anymore. Male sexuality is also shamed. This has created a situation where men will seek outlets like strippers, prostitutes, porn etc because they have been denied not only a sexual outlet but a social one as well.

Men have basically been told that if they are lonely, horny, want a female than they should just go off to one of these places and pay for it. That said, I realized quite young that men have always paid for sex anyway so maybe the only thing that has changed is an increase in options due to more women performing this kind of work.

Your own national government, Ireland, it one of the few in Europe which has adopted the model and your masters in Brussels, the EU, routinely encourages all member states to do the same.

The question of whether to adopt or, once adopted, drop the model has produced some odd political bedfellows. Feminists, religious types, and conservatives love it while libertarians, businesses, and so-called sex workers oppose it. Most leftists and liberals are simply confused over the issue with the "it will combat sex trafficking" claim getting talked about most. Of course, different studies "prove" different things with regards to the trafficking angle depending on who paid for the study.

Countries like Germany have it right, fully legal, regulated, better for prostitute and customer.

The objection come from the fact that your average woman doesn't want to have sex with the bottom 80% of men. But doesn't want that same man having other options.

Feminists hate men, so always support men bashing laws and not support a single woman being convicted of anything.

they don’t give a shit about “sex trafficking” and that never occurs anyway.

Real trafficking is men. Usually construction and foreign labor. That’s who gets trafficked. Women for sex? Nonexistent.

All just lies by the man haters.

I don’t even know why someone would go to a prostitute to be honest. Just masturbate. Porn is free if you have zero imagination.

    Pathetic to be honest.

All sex is prostitution. You are paying for it one way or another. The only reason why it's illegal is because the goobermint can't tax it........yet.
Stay away from women. They will only break your heart.

Yeah it does seem most women make a living on their backs in some way...officially a hooker or not. Look at the sad simp husband/wife dynamics where when hubby is bad he's not getting sex. And sex just validation of a man's little feelings and need to be accepted. Women use that weakness in men to get their way...which is essentially prostitution.

Sure we twist it and call it just fucking or what not...arr, arr, arr manly thing...but at the core even the most detached dude just wanting to fuck like a Wilt Chamberlain is really in need of some kind of validation from women.

Re: What are your thoughts on prostitution?

What is the relationship between the prostitute and the loaf of bread in Proverbs 6:26a?

    Ask Question

This seems to have been a particularly difficult passage to translate, or at least one that challenges understanding of ancient Biblical morals. It seems that every Bible has a different translation - in some cases very different from others but this translation seems general: Proverbs 6:26 (NIV):For a prostitute can be had for a loaf of bread, but another man's wife preys (or could cost you) on your very life.
    - but I notice that several translations are more or less in agreement with the New International Version, which also lends itself to a straightforward interpretation:
Proverbs 6:24-35 consists of a warning against adultery with another man's wife. Verse 26 says this can cost you your life, but sex can be had with a prostitute for a little money - the price of a loaf of bread. The comparison appears to recommend staying away from the wives of other men and if you need sex then pay a prostitute. I can understand the difficulty some translators might have had in accepting that the proverb was so accepting of prostitution . . .
Generally, if you have difficulties dealing with the morality of paying women for sex - simply point out that the Old Testament prohibited "Temple Prostitution" - paying Temple priestesses of, for example, the goddesses Venus or Aphrodite for sex. The Old Testament recommends here that you pay for sex (with non Temple prostitutes) rather than get involved with married women - as I told one guy, that was good advice then; and it is still good advice now!

Seems that prohibiting prostitution would be unBiblical since men need them to avoid committing the sin of adultery with other men's wives. Read somewhere that the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages used to run cathouses on this theory - men who went to cathouses protected married women and virgins from sinning.

Oh I've know about this for quite some time, I was just being sarcastic due to the whole white knight mentality where women are always portrayed as victims.

Prostitution is legal everywhere. It's just that the legal version is called "marriage".

Oh boy.. this topic again. I dated a hooker (without knowing she was a hooker) and can honestly say, despite her looks/fake boobs etc she was the most horrible piece of shit you can imagine - a really horrible, nasty person - a deceitful liar through and through. Her only true love was money. She had zero feelings, zero empathy etc you get the idea. I'm not saying all are like this, but the love of money is their true passion. And when you realise that... I mean, REALLY realise that, you could never "enjoy" your time with a hooker ever again.

And that's before I get on to how many men they've been with. Personally - I like(d) a lady with a low body count - unfortunately, they're unicorns which is why I'm MGTOW, but it's hard for me to get turned on and excited knowing the only reason she's banging me is for money and without money, she wouldn't give me the time of day.

When I started seeing escorts at 17 the most common question I got from them was "You're a good looking bloke, why are you doing this?" meaning why am I paying. For a start I had no idea I was good looking, my self esteem had been trampled so badly I didn't even dare think of myself in such a way.

But even back then I knew that it was just easier and cheaper to pay for it directly. I don't think women want the top 20% of men using hookers either. They want of course for men to keep chasing them for it.

But things have changed drastically and most men don't see women like they used to.

Prostitutes are the only honest women going around. Wouldn't have thought there are any hidden costs with them. Pay, get the job done and see ya next time.

Re: What are your thoughts on prostitution?

Speaking for myself on the hooker-situation in UK:

    1. Grey area legally. Generally speaking its legal but certainly not openly discussed or approved of.
    2. I've tried it. My reasoning was that with hookers there's less "market manipulation" than with relationships with women; women in this industry are forced to actually compete with others to provide a service worth paying for.
    3. My experiences were good at first but quickly went way South with awful experience after awful experience.
    4. The trouble is that hookers are women and so, even if its irrational and hurts them in the long run, they just can't resist pushing their luck to try and benefit themselves by screwing a man over. Its like some compulsion for them. I've experienced the following:
      1. A lot of wildly inaccurate profiles (mostly online in the UK - I used a site called Adult Work). I'm not talking a little chubbier or a little older; I had one that was at least 20 years older and about 20kg/44 pounds heavier.
      2. Services not as described. Almost all claim to offer "GFE" but some do not deliver on this and are determined to make the experience as soulless, seedy and unpleasant as possible.
      3. Making appointments that don't go ahead.
      4. Try to squeeze you out of the time you paid for; charge two hours then kick you out after one etc.
      5. One randomly burst into tears as I was leaving and went on some pity-party trying to see how much she could get out of me.
      6. Some surprisingly nasty - for example they haven't washed.

    5. In addition to the above, there's all the usual stuff you still have to worry about: STDs, surprise muggings (meeting with someone you don't know in a house of their choosing, lord knows who'll be there) blackmail etc.

I'm pleased I tried it as I had a couple of good experiences and I'm an idiot who has to learn all his lessons the hard way. I wouldn't recommend.
