Somebodys 'friend' has 'impeccable strong references' and wants to rent a BASEMENT, 40s makes income house sitting and pet sitting?

Im like, with all these great friends she cant get a room to rent? and will rent a basement from a stranger? 40s, and even a simp that knows her wont take her in? Greatest job market in 70 years, and cant get a real job?

Their sense of entitlement is off the scale. Saw a personal ad once, where the woman goes "let's take your motorhome to the coast."

Gas, food, and a visit to the liquor store would cost hundreds of dollars. In return Miss Priss will make you a sandwich and call it even. Some trade.

Women aren't allowed in my abode. Not even to clean.

I could set her up with one of these abandoned cellar holes around here! Only $1,200 a month no utilities (literally). Or a moldy old leaky abandoned camper for $600 a month! Only $500 deposit! I know it isn't legal, but neither am I, so sue me!

The reason they can't live with their friends is their friends know too much about them! That is of course if they have friends at all.

Unless a lot of legislatures have been busy passing such laws over the past few months, the last time I looked earlier this year, only seven states and the District of Columbia jave statutes enabling common law marriage. In fact, at least one (I did not research the others) has no time stipulation in its statutes stating only that the couple hold themselves out publicly to be husband and wife.

The rest of the states will recognize common law marriages coming from a state that enables it but themselves do not enable it for their residents, i.e. the couple must still procure a marriage license and have a marriage ceremony conducted by a state licensed officiant.

In most states in the US, the laws are way skewed toward the tenant. In my state in particular, if someone starts getting mail at a particular address, the landlord has to go through the eviction process to get that someone out of their house and this can take 6-9 months minimum. Only after multiple court dates will a judge allow the landlord to get the sheriff's office to come and "supervise" the tenant's collection of their stuff and exit. And the landlord has to pay for the sheriff's presence of course.

Funny story about this...my ex-brother in law had his girlfriend and her severely handicapped son move into his house. Shit went south and it took him a year to get her out. She stalked him while he dated other women and interfered in his relationships, thus causing those women to avoid him. They eventually got back together because she essentially wouldn't allow him to date and now they are married (since April of last year). Now the handicapped son lives with them and so does her mother, who's an alcoholic grifter and a bum. From what I hear, the wheels are coming off the wagon. Better him than me.

I'm surprised he didn't get a restraining order against her. Was he as messed up as she was? I know some guys who are like that. They make these God-awful relationship/marriage decisions and you wonder if they even have enough brains in their skulls to microwave a meal without starting a house fire.

I'll give him this, she's smoking hot. About as smart as a raccoon. My ex brother in law is kind of a shady type. Has a good job but is a liar and is always trying to put one over on someone. He gets audited by the IRS like annually. Always in some form of financial distress. And he's divorced with two kids. Bad divorce.

Years back I got a different view on low buck female dwellers. I had a property with studio apartments. Overwhelming amount of applicants were over 40 females. Most were divorced. All of them had these helter skelter incomes. Part time here or there. Resell stuff on the web, alimony, and what not. Almost none of them had a regular full time job.

What I found interesting was what a female was willing to do without. When forced to provide for herself.

Now all of a sudden it didn't take the nice house, car, clothes, dining out and so forth to be happy. They were now all about less is more. Minimalism. Living small. Uncomplicated lifestyle. All of it fancy terms for the low buck life.

It was all about working as little as possible. To provide for themself. I doubt they would have condoned that concept while married.

Pre-pandemic I started seeing women living out of their cars around here. The numbers seemed to go down when the government pandemic subsidies kicked in. Now with so many jobs available, I don't see it as much. With the American economy going to shit, though, it wouldn't surprise me if the numbers started creeping up again. And all the illegal aliens invading the country isn't going to help the problem.

Theres certainly a dramatic increase in mentally ill homeless people here in the South, mostly men though as usual. Id say its been a 300% increase since 2019. We now have tent cities under highways in the DT areas and the usual parking lot hustlers harassing people.

Women have to be pretty far gone to end up on the street, let face it, our society does everything possible to give XX chromotypes a leg up. If you saw too many women on the street, the City would immediately build an extra Women's Shelter ... nevermind the 99% of other homeless males eating out of dumpsters and sleeping in bushes.
