    Turn around is fair play

I love it when rich women end up paying alimony. I especially like the leading question the journalist ask, "Do you think this is fair?"

Ex-Husband Of Walmart Heiress, Paige Laurie, Demands $400,000 A Month In Alimony For ‘Necessities’

Welcome to equality ladies. You asked for it. You got it.

No matter how attractive a woman is. No matter how beautiful she is. Somewhere, out there, some guy is sick of her shit.

And why shouldn't he get half? He worked just as hard as she did to earn it!

Hopefully we'll see this more and more. Then the law is either going to change to be more reasonable or (if things turn out badly) it will change to allow only women to get alimony. It's also interesting to see to what the super rich feel entitleled to.

Kinda makes me want to become a male gold digger myself! Anyone know any half dead rich women?
Marrying a woman is like taking a shit upside down every day for the rest of your life. Don't do it!

Currently more women go to college than men. At least in the US anyway. That means in the future women will have a small pool of white collar professionals to marry. So they either have to marry down or not marry at all. If a woman marries down, then she will most likely make more money than the guy. You know what happens next. White collar professional woman. Blue collar man. Bang. Divorce. She then owes him alimony.

I agree, to a certain point. Sure, the universities are cranking out more female college graduates, but what are they majoring in? Are most of them getting degrees that will make them employable for well paying careers? Especially after six years of Obamanomics?

I maintain that only a few are getting STEM degrees that lead to immediate hiring in actual professions or careers. Very few start their own businesses. Most are getting degrees that, usually after a prolonged period of unemployment or underemployment (such as wearing a paper hat and saying "Would you like fries with that?" or wearing an apron and saying "Here is your double latte vente, sir.") might lead to a job (not a career or a profession). And most get absolutely worthless degrees.

Now, the distinction between job versus career/profession is important. Jagr has crystalized the concept of "The Wall" forcing women to re-evaluate sexual market value and their relationship with men. I would add that women also hit an employment Wall. Women who have spent years working hard to secure a profession (especially in STEM fields) are unlikely to want to stop working. Few people spend 12 years studying to be a physician and then quit doing that in their 30s. Women with non professional careers are more likely to seek a beta-bux provider when they hit their 30's.

However, women with mere jobs hit not only a SMV "Wall," but an employment wall. Men are hard wired to seek work that is satisfying and take pride in a job well done or running their own small business/work unit, even if it does not pay well. (Many of the most manly jobs are dangerous, dirty, and not well paying, and I know male soldiers who would rather lead a squad of soldiers than be a supply colonel who jerks off a pencil all day.) Fewer women have this instinct.

Around the time they hit the SMV wall, they also look around the confines of their cubicle, or public school classroom, or their cash register and decide that they really don't want to work like this (like a man) for the next 30 years. While feminism tells them that they do any job a man can, they value some vestiges of traditional society, like the double standard that maintains that "man who does not work = bum" and "man who lives off the work of a woman = pimp" but "woman who lives off the work of a man = housewife."

So, Joker, with only about 5% of female college graduates are getting STEM degrees, and 5% going on to start their own businesses, and 20% getting career-worthy degrees, the other 70% of female college graduates will not be "alimony-worthy" any time soon in this economy.

I've known two women this happened to. I don't think they had to pay alimony. But both lost half their retirement, which was a big hit.

But there is a problem that is growing. Not enough men are getting degrees. Look at want ads for banking, finance, and other non STEM jobs and careers. They all say bachelor degree required. If men go into trade schools, then the pool of men banks and other non STEM businesses can hire shrink. So paper pushing jobs will be taken by women. If a woman is an accountant and she wants another white collar professional, she will not have that many men to pick from.

A couple of points, the first point is your assumption that long dedicated work in school to secure a profession will result in long term careers. It is interesting that you specifically call out medical doctors. At least in the UK they are finding that over 50% of female medical school graduates are no longer working in medicine within 10 years of their graduation (in their thirties). This has resulted in a severe doctor shortage and the importation of foreign doctors to fill the gap. This of course just passes the shortage on to the third world. The obvious solution is to not put women into medical school, as it is a terrible waste of limited resources in a critical area. We all know that will never happen.

The second is your assumption that women with worthless college degrees will realize this and marry blue collar men without degrees. Introspection is completely absent in women, so this will never happen. A woman working as a barista for 10 years following her BA in Women’s Studies will still look down her nose at a guy who has no degree but makes >$100K as a plumber. Women will die before they marry down; whatever down means to them personally. And I mean that literally; expect a lot more spinster cat ladies as there are no more “good” men to marry. Hence, it is not that they will be making little money that will keep them from paying alimony, but rather that they will just forego trapping that beta unless he also has a college degree and makes more than they do. Carts look for donkeys to pull them, they don’t look for other carts.

I am in the banking industry. The banking industry is already 70% women. It will only get worse.

I've seen that with my bank. Most of the branches I've seen that are run by women operate like a coffee klatsch.

I was arguing that people value what they work hard for. Guy puts in hard work to get a STEM degree, he will probably stick to it. Woman gets dubious gender studies degree, or into a STEM program, or air traffic controller school, or fighter jock school by filling an affirmative action quota, not so much.

Becoming a physician is very different in the U.S.. You have to make the decision when you are 14-15 and get the grades and take the courses that will get you into a good university and the right major. Then do the same as an undergrad, then pass the med school entrance exam, then get into med school, then pass med school 4 years later, then do a grueling 80-100 hour a week internship for a year, then a 3-5 year residency in field of medicine, then pass the licensing board for that specialty (while living on $30k a year for the last 5-7 years), the find a job, then pay $250k of student loans, then....

Oh, and the last 12-15 years has left you very thirsty and emotionally stunted because you haven't had weekend or month off since you were 17.

The UK has nationalized the practice of medicine and must crank out battalions of doctors to man the National Health Service. I don't think the qualification standards are as high, or the training is as long. Most foreign doctors have a hard time passing our boards. Hell, in my state, a foreign dentist can't even sit for the licensing boards until they have passed a US school, and my state has only one dental college, it is in the capital, and there is no 6 month, 1 year, or two year transition course for foreign dentists.

But, if you are telling me that doctors in their 30s are quitting, you might be making my point. What do they do? I assume they hit the "employment wall" and start looking for a beta male provider.

I disagree. After a decade of working like a man, the woman that has hit the employment wall realizes that the skilled tradesman (ie: that plumber) realizes that he takes vacations, rides a nice truck, has paid off his house (that has a pool!), and comes to Starbucks to fill up his thermos with boutique coffee in the morning might be good enough - financially speaking - do be alimony worthy. Especially since, by the time he is in his 30s he has established a good small business and is supervising several other skilled tradesmen. Plumber, electrician, etc. make good money in many parts of the USA. By this time, she knows enough pasty faced hipsters with big vocabularies and small paychecks.

Also, I like your "donkey" and "cart" metaphor.

In Nicaragua, you will often find entire families sitting around living off one or two family members sending remittances from the US or having actual jobs in Nicaragua. The term is "caballo," or horse, as in they are the horse that pulls the cart the rest of the family is in .

This is a derail, but bugger it. The problem with inheritance taxes is that's the third time you've taxed that money. The earnings were taxed, then the savings or gains were taxed, and then when the poor sod dies it's taxed again.

It's not honest to keep biting at the same cherry.

Since when has greedy Daddy Government had an obligation to be honest? Let's call it what it is: a transfer of wealth from the haves to the have-nots. We speak all the time on here about how women are unequal to men in intellect or physical prowess. Same goes for men vs. other men. We are not all equal... period.

Men with physical or intellectual skills far above average work hard and sacrifice their health, sanity, or very lives to build estates, institutions, and empires that far outlive them. Often the result is their children's great-grandchildren will never want for anything, and inevitably the proletariat masses vilify them for their success.

Fuck government, worker drones bleating on about lack of fairness, and the socialist whores sucking on the tit of handouts who want more free shit from the innovators and job creators.

    Fuck them all.

The only bad part I can see about this "grueling" 80-100 hour work week is that there is no smoking in a hospital.
But that's just me. I averaged 90 hours per week for the last decade.

Plumbers and Electricians get vacations? Really?! I had one of those once. 9 days in Maui. It was awesome.

They make $100k per year? That doesn't suck.

This doesn't sound like a bad idea at all, minus the fluffy barista at starbucks looking for a future ex-husband.

My guess here Thomas, and it's just a guess.

Women generally tend to despise Mathematics. As long as they do, you've got a safe place to work.
If a degree in mathematician management is offered in the future, you're totally fucked.
