This Is Why Social Media Is Cancer

I avoid social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Ticktock and all the others because of cancel culture. The guys in the video display from their experience just how toxic people online can be. Say the wrong thing, even if it's out of love, it's brings in all the haters and calls for your cancellation. I also tend to avoid people who I see with camera phones because they will record you just for the sake of ruining your life through social media. I blame the liberal/progressive Left for this cancel culture! The next time one calls me or my party a Nazi, I'll just remind them it's them who stands for cancellation.

The only social media site I ever liked is this site and BitChute because you're free to speak whatever you want and if someone doesn't like it, oh well, too bad. I do however go on YouTube for the sake of watching videos on workouts and supplement research and man caves.
It's a man's world and we need to take it by the throat and make it give us what we desire.

Social Media... The home of Busybodies Unanimous! (Hint: No one gives a flying damn about your life or what is taking place therein). This is the place where women get together and chat/vent about subjects that will hold little (if any) meaning within the next 24-hour news cycle.

Who gives a tinker's dam about their opinions?

Being a geezer, I never started. But there's plenty of frogs in the pond. A friend did a search once, apparently in one state, I'm a real estate agent. I'm a retired cop in another, and in a third, I'm a child molester with a kid's summer camp, no less. Talk about one hand washing the other.
Every day I make the world a little bit worse.

Re: This Is Why Social Media Is Cancer

I like social media, in that it lets me confirm how shitty certain people are, and at end of day, how certain individuals wish to crawl back to their echo chamber, and were never your real 'friends' to begin with.

The 2016 elections further proved this.

As long as there's new 'information' to learn, whether its finding out about dates for certain events or niche stuff like obscure art/medium genres, I'm all for lurking on social media at the very least. I.e. very selfish reasons.

I will admit, sites like Facebook/Instagram will only make average person feel jealous, especially due to socioeconomic status, but of course I was never on there for that reason to begin with.

My advice to anyone using social media with real name, is only post what you want the whole world to eventually know about you, as again, people will unfriend you over the most 'dumbest' thing to be in their echo chamber.

Does it hurt to be "all washed up"? (If they used Lava Hand Soap in some regions, it could prove painful).

I wear my total lack of social media presence like a badge of honor. It's the only aspect in which I'm a virgin, but what the hell, I'll take it.

That's how ridiculous women have stooped to because of social media.

Many people spend too much time on social networks. They are willing to spend every spare minute sprouting Tik Tok. Still, on the other hand, thanks to such popularity, social networks have become a great place to make money. I used to shoot funny content with my son.

I started on the internet as kid in the 90s…within the last few years 99% of what’s on it annoys me. Everything has also become monetized… which inspires people to say and make crap for views. I now pretty much hate watching tik toc videos. I refuse to watch videos where it’s just some girl whoring out her looks for attention/views. I hate all the trendy lingo too.

Feels like I came to the end of the internet and a forum like this one is all that’s worth visiting.

Initially, my videos didn't get many views, But after I learned how to gain flikes my videos became very popular. I didn't pay anything for it, and now people sometimes recognize me on the street.

I try to spend as little time as possible on social media, but sometimes I have to do it for the sake of my business. After all, I have an account on Instagram and TikTok. There I regularly exhibit content dedicated to my business.I try to spend as little time as possible on social media, but sometimes I have to do it for the sake of my business. After all, I have an account on Instagram and TikTok. There I regularly exhibit content dedicated to my business. The more people watch it, the better my business and earnings, you know? So I even decided to Buy TikTok likes so that more people would pay attention to my social media. However, I have never understood people who can sit on the phone all day and watch TikTok. It's degradation, it seems to me.

That's the challenge of course - I tried to only use it for business/promotion purposes as well, but regularly got sucked into pointless scrolling and debates on various issues that go nowhere.

It's difficult to run a customer-centric business without using any social media, especially in my case (farm etc) that can provide great content to really boost our image and exposure. Necessary evil I guess.

Re: This Is Why Social Media Is Cancer

Most social media platforms make no sense to me and I am relatively young (31 years old) because it's not socially intuitive like forums or chat rooms are. So I mainly stick to discord or this site.

This is the only place I post now. I was on city data…I started a topic about why people dress up to go to the gym (aka women dressing slutty and men now wearing as little as possible) …one of the mods said she wears sports bras to the gym to check her form on exercises. I said what exercises are you doing that require a sports bra to do with proper form. She then banned me.

Erm, is there a social media promotion programme aimed at this site? If so, you’re wasting your time.
