I would say though they're looking to get you to commit financially. Sounds like a warm up to get you to commit

I agree with this. If you're in a bad way and need help, seek it from other men, and even then make sure it's only ones whom you can trust. I believe women are incapable of understanding what men go through. Even a woman who genuinely wants to understand will fail to. She'll listen to all the lame buzz words that feminists brand everything with, and she'll THINK she understands, but she doesn't.
