Her love was for her kids, not her husband.... Important lesson, that one.
I agree with your analysis with only one exception: pumpkin did not work outside
the house at all during the marriage, only afterwards for minimum wage.
The part about working for 15 years without a raise was aimed at raising the monsters...er...youngsters, housekeeping, cooking, etc.

Ok, yes I got that part wrong.... Thanks for the correction...

My point is: She is singing about female nature, singing about occurrences that happen in most long relationships, she has a listening audience, maybe even men singing along in cars driving to work (or home to their own version of the song the very same night) and people are not grasping the words or the overall meaning of the words. It's like female nature can be seen all around us but until you know... you can see it.

    Exactly.

C'mon, how many times do kids need to go to the dentist/doctor, or 20-30 something adults? Most need to go once a year at most. And duh, make the kids appointments back to back at the same pediatrician.

If this is a country woman, they buy in bulk so she ain't driving to Trader Joes or Aldi's a hour away every other day for more fresh Sushi Rolls.

And no mention of her husband's job, which was probably blue collar work.

I've had two young kids, including one that needs help dressing and toileting/bathing because he's so young, by myself. Once you have a system, it takes maybe an hour all told, including food prep (packed lunches), dinner, cleaning up, homework supervision. Maybe another 2 hours a week for laundry, changing sheets, and doing a deeper clean like mopping and getting into the cracks and crannies under fridges or around sinks. I can fairly say that cleaning after 2 young dudes and one old man is at most a typical workday (8 hours) in total per a week. It's NOT a full time job, not with modern conveniences available for the past 3 generations. If I had to cook and clean and laundry for another adult, maybe 10 hours tops a week, all the while listening to podcasts or content or whatever at a reasonable pace.

I've also been night diaper and feeding patrol for both my sons when they were infants, 7PM-4AM. And my exwife used to witch out on the rare occasions they woke up at 5AM, though she had been in the sack since 9PM and didn't get an 8th or 9th hour of sleep, and since we had a nanny she wasn't responsible during most of the day, either, boo hoo. Meanwhile I only got 6 hours (10-6PM remote shift) and never complained, plus I snuck to the gym 4x a week. Heaven forbid I got back from the gym 10 minutes late!

She replaced her husband with an uncaring boss who didn't give her a wage increase in 15 years.

First off, hats off to Northwoods Hermit…. You’ve succeeded to have this awful song reverberate in a loop in my head for about 3 days now.🤣

Moreover, it’s dredged up some horrible memories in that this song was popular right at the time when I was the poor blue pulled simp in the song- freshly married, two kids, two more to come, busting my ass at my job, doing side jobs painting houses while Princess sat at home eating bon bons with her mommy “working her ass off taking care of the kids”…. What a joke…. Bitch found time to get a boyfriend though. A lot of us went through it. God I was dumb. Anyway- somebody post another horrible song so I can get this rotten shitty thing out of my head🤮

I see this stinker of a song stirred up some strong feelings/responses.
I posted it 'cause of how revealing it is, and I appreciate all the comments on it.
Song sucks but the comments are awesome.
Those of you who've been through the marriage grinder, then the divorce raping, have my complete sympathy.
I count my blessings each and every day that I was lucky enough to have avoided all that despite my younger dumber BP'd self.

On another note, seems like just when we find the worst song,
another one even worse pops up.
Seems like there's an endless supply of 'em, and they write even more every day.
There's not enough internet for all these dandies.

Jesus that song was bad. Here's something better on the ears to help get that other song out of your heads:
"Let the future tell the truth, and evaluate each one according to his work and accomplishments. The present is theirs; the future, for which I have really worked, is mine." -Nikola Tesla

A man without a woman is like a fish without a hook.

I heard this song at 6:30am on my way to work yesterday morning on my boss's car radio. It made me smile and think of this thread.

Stay away from women. They will only break your heart.

I've heard this song...been out for about a year or so.

Quite the White Knight/Simp/orbiter song there.

The lyrics are so full of BS that I don't even know where to start to pick it apart.

In real life, we all know this sort of thing never ends well for beta boy.

That Urban-Underwood song is complete crap.

Has anybody noticed understanding of human nature has actually declined in the past few decades and been replaced by fanatical fronting of ideologies?

That topic should be a thread on its own... I know what you mean, in some ways I agree, some I disagree. Depends on the length of time you are talking.

Here's another tambourine used in a song, but much better talent, but same sucky love lyrics! (sounds like silver to me)

You won't need to light a fire in my panties, after watching that, I'm using them to hang myself!
