This is pretty lame, no video, no artist, no title. Just a story about a real stinker. Maybe somebody's heard of it. Sorry, I didn't know I'd need the guy's name or song sixty years later.
In the late fifties or early sixties, the local country station played this mournful ballad about this cowboy wrongfully accused of murder. Now he could have cleared his name, but that would mean ruining the reputation of his best friend's wife, who he had been bonking. Naturally, he couldn't do that, so now he's dead and she "walks the hills in a long black vail." I kid you not. Country music was pretty crazy back then, and this one was pretty far out there even for them. Decades later I heard this song covered by two different artists on satellite radio. I don't know where it is or who does it, but it's out there somewhere.
