The rings of power - "strong, diverse, female" blasphemy... Tolkien turning in his grave

I could say many things about this show.

But there's no need - the Critical Drinker is brutally honest, and thoroughly enjoyable:

There's clearly a lot of MGTOW-reasoning behind this man's videos.
    Enjoy!

The critical drinker is on point, wvw a guy like myself that know jack sqaut all about lord of the ring. Even I can see how they bastardize this series

But as you know, this have been a on going thing with the left, take a beloved series and destory it

It's also funny how they banned strong language, drinking, smoking, jokes and companionship.

The strong women are portrayed extra hard, extra strong and extra ... stubborn. I wasn't sure whether it was a parody or just made to appear extra manly in a twisted way.

But the special effects are great.

I read the books and enjoyed them. I'm not a fanatic about them but I'm perfectly capable of voting with my wallet. I saw the The Lord of the Ring's trilogy in theaters, then bought the DVDs. I went to see the first of The Hobbit trilogy in the theater...and was so disgusted that I didn't go see the other two.

The latest offering (and yes, I know that it isn't Peter Jackson doing it) seems to be even worse than The Hobbit trilogy.

One of my keys to entertainment is Rotten Tomatoes. The big thing I look for is the average audience score. The next thing I look for is if there's a big gap between this score and the one posted for Average Tomatometer. As I'm writing this, TROP's AT score is 84%, while the AAS is 38%. This tells me that the offering isn't very good, but it "checks enough boxes" the professional reviewers seem to think that they have to give it high marks. If an offering has a high AAS score and a low AT score, like Joker from 2019, I know that it's entertaining, but doesn't check enough boxes for a professional critic to admit that it's good.

I turned this show off after watching it for like 10 minutes
