    Stimulus, infrastructure, and misandry

The original Obama/Biden stimulus package did not fund shovel-ready projects, and that was intentional.

Much of the money went to blue states and municipalities to keep them from laying off civil servants and school teachers (whose tax payers and students were migrating to red states, were the jobs were). Civil servants and teachers are mostly women, particularly black women, and their unions overwhelmingly fund blue candidates.

In contrast, spending on actual infrastructure involves private companies (who are villains in the eyes of SJWs, since they are miniature 'corporations'), and working men, blue collar tradesmen ("...who have the audacity to have political opinions despite - gasp! - not having college degrees!" or student loan debt) who both tend to support red candidates.

2008-2010 wasn't a re-cession, it was a man-cession. Suzy School Teacher and Betty Bureaucrat kept on producing illiterate high school graduates and red tape. Obama chuckling about "I guess those projects weren't so shovel ready, after all!" was feature, not a bug, of a recovery plan that punished his class and gender enemies.
An escort is a woman you occasionally financially support only when she has sex with you.

A date is a woman you occasionally financially support in the hope she will have sex with you.

A wife is a woman you constantly financially support even when she is not having sex with you.

An ex-wife is a woman you constantly financially support with alimony so she can have sex......with someone else.

Invest in whatever is good for the powers that be. I'm doing ok in cannabis stocks. Medicinal cannabis - kerrr ching! Recreational cannabis to keep the masses asleep* - kerrr ching!

I would drive a half-track. Not restored obviously. Much of this equipment is ancient, difficult to find parts for, but it is better cars than what is sold today.

    Cars sold today... ugh.

I was looking for where to invest, and that makes sense. In the area i am in, i constantly smell Mary jane. I don't do it myself. It is too pacifying and there is a lot to do.

    That Shit Stinks!

So yeah, invest in what is good for the powers that be. Makes sense.

On the one hand it feels immoral to invest in their schemes. On principle I have not invested in big pharma because I think the whole system is a disgusting racket. Even though I probably would have had good returns since this coroni baloney hoax. I still gotta be able to look myself in the mirror.

I have very much noticed the evidence of this, not only in the U.S. One of the easiest places to see it is in the printed media. Leaving aside their biased content has anyone else noticed the declining standards in basic grammar, misspelled words and even missing words?

Now I’m no grammar tyrant, we all make mistakes, but these people are meant to be professionals – their livelihoods depend on the written word. Whilst automatic correction spell checkers may be behind some of this, a quick proof-read would catch the majority. I notice this in maybe 1 out of every 3 or 4 articles.

Redstate.com comes to mind. They are rife with typos and sometimes an entire wrong word. It's not restricted to one author.

When typing on this site, I try to avoid using a preposition to end a sentence with.

    Re: Stimulus, infrastructure, and misandry

I saw somewhere that the average newspaper is written so that anyone with a fourth grade education can read it. I assumed the purpose of this was that the newspaper was trying to reach the widest possible audience, and didn't want to alienate any potential reader with words and grammar that were too complex. I can't fault a newspaper for trying to reach the widest possible customer base. But the idea was that a 4th grader could read it. Somewhere, it seems that they got confused and now have 4th graders writing the damn things. Writing for large crowds and screwing up the spelling and grammar seems to me like appearing in front of large crowds and neglecting to comb your hair or zip up your fly. It's embarrassing for them. But it's also embarrassing for me to realize that I'm reading the article on the assumption that I am going to learn something from someone who is demonstrating his ignorance to me even as I read...

Originally in journalism news articles were written with a high school education in mind. But since then it has been lowered to junior high and even as low as the 4th grade level. 4th grade level is basically when you start to see paragraphs in books for children. Maybe as earliest as the 2nd grade.
