Thread: Show some respect!

My personal life has kept me busy this last week or so and because of this I’ve missed something important.

Our mod’s are under attack, therefore this site is under attack.

Logging on today I found 2 threads (and I suspect more) where Unboxxed and Mr. Wombat are coming under attack.

Shame on you!

I’ve had my run-ins and differences with both and that’s to be expected when people speak their minds but understand that these are people, people that are giving up their time to keep this site running smoothly.

I won’t weigh in on the pros and cons of the various ongoing arguments much as I would like to because that would risk exacerbating the situations so I’ll say only this:

Both of these seem like personal grievances, so deal with them in a personal way – by P.M. or email or whatever. To air them publicly only serves to undermine what we’re trying to do here. The fact that 2 of our most prominent mods are publically coming under attack simultaneously suggests something more nefarious than meets the eye.

As I’ve said in other posts – I’m no fan of coincidences.

For myself:

Unboxxed and Mr. Wombat have my full support and admiration and I don’t give two fucks about the reputation of their detractors.

I thought they both handled it admirably, who cares if the offender's name is unregistered guest? That's Dunce Corner!

They can handle it.

For you new guys, this is not your average troll. When Nach pulled the plug, Jag offered to grandfather in anyone from Nacho's site who wanted in. A lot of guys took advantage of Jag's kind offer and joined up, though few remain today. This site grew out of Nacho's.

Don't bother saying your piece. Nacho attacks any critics, respectful or not, and always has near as I can tell. Just respect him for the pioneer he was and call it good.

Got a link to the threads? If you are referring to Unboxxed and I's little spat in another thread that wasn't bashing. I even told him how I have respect for him. We have differences . That is all. I wish him nothing but the best. This is an internet forum. Once I sign out then that's it.

You are right. No respect. I would never do such a thing. Then again, I'm an adult man with respect for myself and others.

Indeed. Both are more than capable of arguing their own POV and don’t need anyone else’s assistance.

However, it’s nice to know someone has your back.

I liken it to being out for the night and someone picks a fight with one of your crowd. You don’t interfere but you stand up behind your bud and let him know he has support if needs be.

Dunce corner? Hmm, maybe, but Nacho’s name carries weight with some. All I can say is I was long out of nappies when I realised what was happening and that was without the benefit of the interweb and Nacho’s “pioneering ways”.

I don’t give a damn who you are, or who you THINK you are, if you turn on this site or its mods you’re no MGHOW, you’re just another POS with an overinflated ego.

That was my other reference, but it was mainly Nacho’s remarks that got my back up.

The fact that you and Unboxxed got in to a dispute at the same time seemed surreptitious to me. Sometimes I see connections where none exist.

As I’ve said I’m not a fan of coincidences, but they do happen. My apologies for reading more into this than what was actually transpiring.

It would seem I seen a connection that didn’t actually exist.

Nacho is just being the petulant child that he is. Ignore him.

No need to apologize. It was nothing. Matter of fact I commend Unboxxed. We had our differences but he is a man about it. He didn't ban me for it. I already have respect for him but now I have much more!
