    Republican cries at hearing

    "I just can't even...."

Yeah, this is pretty much what's wrong with the Republican party.....

GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois may have been scorned by House Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy as a “Pelosi Republican” for agreeing to serve on the bipartisan Jan. 6 select committee, but he nearly broke down in tears as he delivered a statement on Tuesday to four cops who were there as the Capitol came under siege by a pro-Trump mob. “I never expected this day to be quite as emotional for me as it has been,” Kinzinger said, voice cracking. “You guys may individually feel a little broken. You guys all talk about the effects you have to deal with, and you talk about the impact of that day. But you guys won. You guys held.”

[the Democrats cried too, but that is to be expected]

    Re: Republican cries at hearing

I'm over 60 and I just can't recall in my youth so many men crying on TV as today, if any ever did. I flat don't like it, frankly. Cry in private, dammit, and to your designated split tail if ya got one. But in public, show me your Gary Cooper (Another ancient reference? LOL). Show me that you're in control of yourself. Is it for the women's vote, or have these men really gone soft? Both? All I see is that crying and emoting tends to bring the general level of problem-solving down a notch or three as we all have to temporarily take time out to play along and collect the appreciation of the wimmenz in these preshuss moments as they (puke) try to tell us how this makes us better as men. If we ever recover to the level of problem-solving that were we at before the tears began, well I'm not sure anyone notices.

Man, I'm on a rant tonight. Don't anybody start crying! LOL.

I'm from Illinois and a Republican, but I didn't vote for him because he's not from my district. Anyway, it's embarrassing that this man is now considering running for US senate from Illinois. The fact that he's anti-Trump and helping the Democrats and is crying like a little baby, it better doom his chance for another term. I don't know what more to say, except this man is an embarrassment to my party and my state.

He's just another Mr. Tampon drowning in communal shared emotions boiling up from his pussy cat heart! He has all the leadership skills of a wet hanky flying by in a hurricane west wind!

    Re: Republican cries at hearing

If they wanted to hold a hearing to discuss factual matters related to the security of the building and how it failed, I could probably be convinced that is a legitimate function of Congress, but the current proceedings--from the very little I've heard about them--sound more like a partisan witch-hunt. (I may be wrong; I don't follow the national news, beyond the little bit that makes it onto the local news site I read, and I quit watching TV a long time ago except for select shows and movies on DVD.)

"....Is it for the women's vote...."

Women having the vote is the basic, fundamental, foundational reason.

The politicians cry and emote to appeal to the wimmenz; and the need to appeal to the women spews up these revolting and inferior creatures who cry......

Oh, and how could I forget? The police officer cried too. Why, no one really seems to know....

Well, I for one think it's sexist and insulting to condescend to women like the miserable, emotional pools of water that they are! LOL.

This was on Tucker Carlson last night. He had a fellow on who jokingly said he is putting out a list for today's man on what is ok to cry about in public and what is not. All men are to carry this list and refer to it, if thinking they are about to bubble up.

    Kinzinger.

Kinzinger met Republican U.S. Congressmen Mike Pence, Mark Kirk, and Peter Roskam in January 2009 to discuss a possible run for Congress.
    Huh. Roskam.

Roskam was born in Hinsdale, Illinois, the son of Martha (Jacobsen) and Verlyn Ronald Roskam. He was the fourth of five children and was raised in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, graduating from Glenbard West High School. He earned his B.A. in political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law. As a member of his law school team, he was named "Best Oral Advocate" by the American College of Trial Lawyers at its 1988 National Trial Competition.
Woah! Check out the honker on that photo at wikipedia! You don't have to look far to find the big-noses, do you?

The media tells you over and over that five people dies that day. What they don't tell you is that most of them died because they were shot by cops.

Hence the tears. It's their go-to media tactic to cry while they are shooting people.

    Re: Republican cries at hearing

According to your post, Peter Roskam graduated from Glenbard West High School. This is a major coincidence, because I went to Glenbard North High School, graduated in 2001. I didn't know he went to the same school district as me.
