    question for fellow mgtows

    Hi guys

will try to be carefull how I word this question to you all so I not get misunderstood.

Has any of you ever had the thoughts of ending your lifes early? too commit suicide but not out of despair or depression or other negative emotions but simply because it feels like a rational choice??

Ive thinking about this alot lately (no I am not suicidal or depressed so no worries) I am 42 now and have been mgtow since 2015 and also going monk since then but lately I have begun thinking about why I should keep on going from a rational view point I mean to me living to be 80 or 90 is a dreadful thought and there really is no point too hang on for that long when you not have kids or grand kids to tend to getting old in my eyes is just getting weaker and more redundant and also I want nothing todo with carehomes or stuff like that Ive work that field and its a scary prospect!

And to my I just started to feel more and more like ive seen what life has to offer and there is no more in it I really want and I have it pretty good as is I don't need to work I have not debt and no obligations I have all the freedom I want I can travel If i want to so I guess from a perspective I have it pretty good I am my own man living the true mgtow lifestyle.

But idk I just have this feeling deep inside that at somepoint in the next couple of years maybe I just want that eternal peace at my own choosing where I decide where and when I will end it all and again not because of depression or despair I just feel there is no reason to go on I mean ive tried what I wanted to try and done what I wanted todo mostly I dont have anymore dreams or aspirations for anything so in my eyes to keep on going would just be a kinda waste of time and alot boredom.

any of you guys have these thoughts and feelings?? and wut are you thoughts about it? is normal not normal?

(again i am not suicidal and not looking to end myself anytime soon its just thoughts I have on a rational level)

Sorry, nonconformist, but this site is not a place to entice others on this unhealthy topic. We push ourselves in the opposite direction here. Even under the guise of balanced thinking, what you propose is not balanced thinking. For instance, you seem to be living a peaceful life but are not happy with it. Yet you seek an eternal peace to replace the peace you have? Listen to how nonsensical that sounds. You're living inside your head, bud, talking yourself into a corner. I think you need someone to tell you to get your head out of your ass.

So, yeah, not normal. Perhaps seek a professional or religious person to discuss your deep feelings of ennui. It is said that men need obstacles to overcome or else they wither. Go find some.

Eternal peace. Is that your euphemism for absolute nothingness as an escape from your own thoughts? Or do you mean an afterlife? You don't sound like you are affiliated with a Higher Power.

God loves you. Perhaps make that your mission to find out why. Both the pursuit and the results will give purpose back to you. Now there's an afterlife investment for the here and now, if I ever saw one.

    Go find out.

I am closing your account and this thread.

    Good luck.

    Re: question for fellow mgtows

Me, I'm an atheist. A "scientific materialist". I think conciousness is a process that happens mostly in the brain, and when the brain dies, conciousness stops happening. Nevertheless:

Is suicide rational? Kind of the wrong question to ask. Being rational is only part of a world-view, another part is values. You cannot get from indicative premises to an imperative conclusion, it's impossible to get from "is" to "ought". Rationality is the guardrail on the road, not the road itself. It's one of a trinity: The Good, The Beautiful, The True. The question is: ought we to end our lives? Not is it rational, but is it right?

I've been depressed, and had to deal with it. I have turned 50 and gone through the manopause. My personal answer is: life is sweet, and death is bitter. The best thing in life is to take your next breath and know you are alive. You have had the Christian answer, so it's only fair to offer you the answer given by the Church of Satan, which is: life is the Great Indulgence; and death the Great Abstinence. Indulge!

More practically, your life lacks a mission. Most people's highest mission is to pair up and raise some kids: it's a mission that well occupies an entire life, and as MGTOW we feel its lack, I think.

So what's left? Friends. Other people. In the end we are only human, and to humans relationships are the most important thing. You got to get away from the computer screen. You gotta make the effort. It's common advice, but there's a reason it's so common: find a hobby, but I suggest find a hobby that involves a group.

Life ain't so bad. It's still better than the alternative.

You could go down to the river and jump in. Then the cops would have to gas up their tow rig, put some hours on the boat, and pay officers overtime pulling your worthless body out of the river. But that would be a horrible waste of the earth's resources and I'm sure you wouldn't want that. Sarcasm off.

Wombats right, you need a reason to get up in the morning. There's something out there, you just got to find it.
