you think political parties can't handle dissent? try feminists

Women Against Feminism causes furor among women | Communities Digital News

LOS ANGELES, August 9, 2014—Women Against Feminism (WAF) is a burgeoning movement which gained international attention through a mocking Buzzfeed article in July. The WAF Tumblr blog site allows women and girls to submit written statements on why they do not need feminism.
Many of the posters choose to use a selfie image with their statement, but others simply post a photo of the statement. WAF also has a Facebook page, and with the free publicity, the promotion of the #WomenAgainstFeminism hashtag, and additional articles that capitalized on the Buzzfeed mockery, both social media platforms have seen a marked increase in subscribers.

If nothing else, this is a testament to that fact that more women than we think wish to distance themselves from modern-day, third-wave feminism.
It should come as no big surprise that WAF has come under attack from the very feminist they eschew. While Cathy Young of Time magazine makes an effort to see WAF’s point of view, for the most part many of the articles are hostile, assuming the page is anti-progress and anti-woman.

yet again, women against feminism only butt up against their own kind. the fact that men are continuing to commit suicide and ruin their lives as a result of societal expectations is ignored.

only third wave feminism is blamed instead of female nature. the article subtly continues to blame women against feminism for their own viewpoints, rather than hold feminism or female nature to account.

Until I see members of WAF sign up for selective service, it's all attention whoring lip service, in my opinion.

Female nature is never going to be blamed for anything. It's muhsojinny to point it out, because the wymmyn can't bear to hear that they aren't perfect.

    Some of those comments are rockin'. I particularly like this one;

"When Miss Sanchez dared to say that women need not be victims but should be able to feel confident in defending themselves, she was attacked by the women who supposedly advocate empowerment."

Of course she was. Feminists don't want confident women, they want victims. They want women to be raped. They want those women to doubt the authorities. They want those victims to come to them instead, to justify their money machines (rape crisis centers) and their demands for more and more power, over schools, over men, over government. It's why they are so opposed to women taking personal responsibility for their own safety... as doing so gives those women self confidence, and helps protect them in many cases, denying feminists another victim. It's why they promote the idea that going to police is pointless... that police won't believe victims, that they will just re-victimize them, that they'll just blame them for being attacked. It's why they point to Steubenville as being representative of our cultural views on rape, while doing everything in their power to pretend the Duke Lacrosse case is just a single example with no meaning whatsoever.... and completely missing the point that both cases are singular examples and nether should be used to represent society as a whole.. that the truth rests somewhere in the middle.

    eggzactly.

no one ever appropriately explained why that police officer was supposed to be such a villain for pointing out ways women could avoid being a victim of a violent crime. feminists, who normally hate sex, twisted it around into an accusation that he was "slut shaming." meanwhile, women debase themselves and lower the standards across the culture with their slut walks, and help exactly zero women from becoming future victims.

ultimately, the only percievable reason for this is because feminists (and women in general) crave seeing their kind be victimized. they use it as an excuse to demonize innocent men, they scream and whine about how vulnerable they feel to draw attention to themselves, and in some particularly sick cases they will even brag about having been raped like they accomplished something incredible.

that is what the female gender has given society.

I've seen Marriage 1.0 relationships. And I know they can work because I've seen them firsthand. I've seen how much they care for one another. I've seen how when a man is injured, the woman reacts by taking care of him, not fleeing from his 'weakness'. Feminism IS the problem. There are problems with female nature; but there are problems with male nature too. A woman who believes in traditionalism, who works to manage her instincts and not indulge them, and a culture that aids her in that effort, can be an asset to a man. Even if not in an LTR or marriage. That's my perspective anyway.

I am cautiously optimistic about WAF. At first, women signed on board on feminism assuming it was what it stated it was. Actually, many men did the same. Both men and women are waking up to the actuality of feminism and I think WAF is a positive sign that women are now unafraid to break ranks. I hope that more mothers, especially those with boys, will stand up and support WAF.

Have you lot read this shit in the link provided in the article? The War on Women: The real choices women want from government | Communities Digital News

    • As today’s youth understand, women know it is all about “the Benjamins.” Money talks and all else walks. Women want control and choices over our lives reflecting who we are.
    • As managers of our own budgets we can’t spend what we don’t have and would appreciate the government doing the same.
    • Most of us must work; therefore, equal pay must be tendered for equal, not equivalent, work.
    • The government must quit creatively taxing us at every avenue and leave us with more money to take home than the government takes while allowing us to fund our own business ventures.
    • The government’s role relating to our children is a struggle which hasn’t been adequately discussed much less dealt with.
    • Jobs and the economy sit at the heart of our ability to provide for our families and ourselves, educate our children or have engaging and satisfying futures holding hope for the possibility of retirement.
    • Obamacare’s one size fits all philosophy limits our choices, costs more than most will ultimately be able to pay for the insurance and doesn’t guarantee access or same provider services.
    • In their concentration and fights over reproductive health, whether birth control is used, is a choice which Republicans can’t take away, and the individual woman must rightfully retain.
    1. Sure you do, but since women need money given in form of child support/alimony via family courts, I beg to differ.
    2. Yes you can and a lot of you do, that's why banks are for and there are a lot of you with funds in the red.
    3. It is equal, not the government's/companies' fault for you picking more comfortable jobs, try going into oil drilling to see how real work is done.
    4. Goverment quit taxing you because "why" exactly? So that you'd have an upper hand, tank any country's budget by losing minimum 60% tax income, and turn every tax into a super-bachelor tax?
    5. Government destroys children: compare a kid that went to a public school in US to one which has been to a private one: difference is staggering and grossly biased towards the one who finished a private school. I know this for a fact because I also finished a private school and I can't talk with a significant amount of people fresh out of public ones (talking about Holland/UK) because I just get a blank stare.
    6. You can't control the economy without turning full-on socialist about it (think: Soviet Union), plus the government cannot do anything for the economy of a country at the level of USA; expenses to monitor and alter would go off the roof, and bureaucracy will block a lot of good ideas.
    7. The only constructive point present.
    8. Typical my body my choice argument, nothing to see here: you're avoiding responsibility.
