    online psychologist talks about MGTOW

I think he's wrong about some stuff, but I at least give him credit for not making it a hatchet job video.

He calls MGTOW an ideology, so he clearly didn't understand it and he probably has taken the blue pill.

Don't expect a social scientist to understand MGTOW, they were the ones who let feminist theory invade the rest of society.

In fact they profit heavily from it because now they can make all sort of claims to invent new jobs for them.

Psychologists and psychiatrists are being trained to spot traditional masculinity in their clients, which is toxic if you ask the APA (American psychologist association). Of course it got adapted by other countries as well.

He may not have it all correct, but he had a crack at explaining some of it. He's not MGTOW so it will be hard for him to grasp all of it. He's not even really RP but he does touch on some of those topics also.

The comments are interesting to read... Women don't like the idea men have turned away from them, they still want the option of turning them down.... Socially rejecting a sex is a lot kinder than personally rejecting someone.... Women still want the privilege of personally rejecting men.

I was encouraged that he didn't simply come out with flaming, feminist-style rhetoric stating that it's simply misogyny. He's definitely not red-pilled but he did at least avoid being a talking parrot of feminist cliches.

Agreed- I spent a good amount of time on the comments too. Even came across a reply from “Insidious Sid”, who I believe used to be a frequent poster here.

I noticed quite a few replies from men who “have basically been MGTOW for years, just never knew there was a formal name for it”. There’s more of us than we think. Also, this “moderate MGTOW” thing is a farce too. One BJ away from the plantation applies to quite a few. But at least they are aware and starting to figure things out.

The simp viewpoint is rather comical. Poor bastards…….

I know a man in his 60's, he never married but has been burned on heaps of relationships. For years he tried the BP ways, his last relationship, a single mother that hypergamy made her branch up did it for him.... He doesn't want to know about TRP, MGTOW, or anything about female nature, He knows he can not emotionally invest in another long term relationship. He is MGTOW without knowing it.

Yup. I call that a non-acronym-MGTOW. I was that before being full MGTOW.

No question about it. The other telling thing is that this is a 2 year old article and it’s still drawing views and comments. Mostly all from full blown MGTOW or non acronym.

Take a look at this recent comment from the video:

i'm so glad that I'm gay... trust me, the gay life is DEFINATELY not easy either (men are cruel to each other) but it sure as hell beats the straight life... i thank God every day for making me a homosexual.
Man, things have come a long way, haven't they?

Thanking God that you're gay! I just find that to be an interesting thing to say for what it may or may not overlook theologically! Sure as hell.

I don't think he means it literally, though, as in holding mindful prayer every day. Thanking God is probably just one of those handy conversational extremes that we all use at one time or another to emphasize a point.

But it does strike me as amusing that he uses that one for emphasis here.

    That's all.

When I was in college, I had no trouble getting dates, but it was a beast to actually get a girlfriend. I didn't understand at the time, but it was because they were all spinning a million plates, so the odds were against you, even if you were good looking, which I was. At the same time, gay dudes hit on me all the time. It drove me nuts. It would have been simple to get a boyfriend if I had been a homobuttslamual.

    Thanks, you got me thinking....

I know a few gay men, not one of them have turned gay because of a bad relationship with a woman, they naturally are attracted to other males.

I know more gay women or lesbians. The ones that I know a little history of, more than half were married of have had long term relationships with abusive men.

Please note: I'm not an active member in any gay community and is a relatively small number of people I know that openly identify as gay.

Women need social interaction with other people and will take on a same sex "partner" if burned by the opposite sex. Men can just turn and go their own way alone.

I wonder if there has been a study on that?

Reminds me of that joke that got a Washington Post reporter suspended back a month or two ago: "Every girl is bi. You just have to figure out if it’s polar or sexual.”

There are studies about that. Scientists showed men and women pictures and videos of the same and the other sex. Some were pornographic, others were softer like people in swimwear or bikinis. The probants were attached to a machine which recognizes which areas of brain were activated. The result was that heterosexual men only got aroused by women, homosexual men only by men, but the women got aroused by it all. Quite interesting if you think about it. That's probably why almost every woman has no problem to learn to kiss with her best female friend, yet for almost all men this would be way over the top.
