'On Monday, the magazine shared the cover illustration by Adrian Tomine for its 7 December issue, which features a woman dressed in a blouse, hoop earrings and shorts holding a martini glass and sitting in front of her laptop surrounded by a messy home.


The illustration includes details such as old Chinese takeout boxes and pill bottles on her desk, as well as a pile of clothes sitting atop a chair and a sink full of dirty dishes.

I dont have much experience dating, but was married 3 times and before that had a 5 year girlfriend. They all cooked and cleaned. Even my GF that I never married, cleaned my place on the weekend, and never complained(except for the ironing). When I was a kid, there were studies done that showed women of the era having "low self esteem", or as some would say: "a realistic perspective on their own worth". It still amazes me that there are men who have not figured out that doing those things is not the way to get laid. As if every man in the world has not seen exactly what type of treatment women are demonstrably into. I wouldn't go as far as treating them like shit, only because that would detract from my being a decent human being, the only loophole I found to satisfy my desire to remain civil, calm, and peaceful, is to not treat them like anything at all, they simply no longer exist unless spoken to, and even then it's always an encounter with self preservation, like a cheese wheel talking to a rat!

Showing generosity and kindness to a woman is asking to be used as a doormat, they get civility from me, but not much more than that.
