Thread: New Crisis! ‘Thicker, curvy’ women denied entry to Hollywood bar; rant goes viral on social media

Ella Halikas says a bouncer told her and fellow “curvy” model, Alexa Jay, that they couldn’t follow their friends into The Highlight Room in Hollywood.

“(Alexa) asked him ‘Hey what’s going on? I’m actually with that party you just let in,’ and he said, ‘I know,’ and looked her up and down and said, ‘Not tonight,’” Ella said.

“It was so dehumanizing,” said Alexa. “It was like we were being looked through. If you experienced any type of discrimination like this, you know exactly how horrible and disgusting it feels and we are no longer letting this fly.”
The women believe this problem goes beyond one nightclub.

Halikas says she has received thousands of messages from other plus-sized women sharing similar stories of being turned away from bars and nightclubs. “One of my plus-sized friends went to a club in New York City and they said, ‘Everyone else can come in,’” said Halikas. “They let in all her thin friends, got to her and said, ‘You can’t get in.’ She asked, ‘Why?’ and he goes, ‘If you want to come in, pay $4,000.”

“It felt like we were alone,” said Halikas. “It felt like we were plucked out of a crowd and I just felt like we need to share this because it’s not about us not getting into the Highlight Room, we don’t care. It’s the bigger picture of how many girls face this every single day. It was discrimination – 100 percent.”

I wish airplane staff were the same... Get stuck in "Cattle Class" beside a whale in the centre seat and she takes up half of your seat also... Then complains the seats are too small, my seat is large enough if I had my seat, "It's you that are too large, buy first class where you will fit, you are using half of my ticket". Big men are the same, but they admit they are the problem, not blame it on the airplane.

I will never fly economy again.

The best seat is the front left seat, right behind the windshield wipers!

Of course these woman only have a grievance when they are being excluded. They have no interest in advocating for men that get denied entry to nightclubs all the time or with the fact that men have to pay a cover charge to get in and attractive young woman are always allowed in for free.

And of course they never cared about fairness and discrimination when they were young and attractive and it favored them, Its only now after they hit the wall, I just laugh at this cognitive dissonance its something only the female mind can harbor.

Looks like the commenters on the article have the right idea. Maybe stick to places where you are welcome. There are no bouncers to impress at Golden Corral.

Society needs to move away from the body positivity bullshit. You can lie to yourself and tell yourself wonderful little things about your fat ass, but the truth is that you’re fat, unpleasant to look at, and physically unhealthy.

Fat women need to get out of victim stance and do something proactive to address their weight issue. Exercise and eating healthier are two great options to start with.

Body positivity is just a case of 'The Emperor's New Clothes' for fat women who need to have their egos massaged; they can't accept they aren't deemed as attractive as slimmer women so are trying to literally incel their way into guilt-tripping men into getting boners for their rolls and folds.

Then there's the term 'body positivity.' The fat women using this term have a whole truckload of body negativity for slim women who they call 'skinny bitches', for short men who they call 'manlets' and for fat men who they believe they 'don't have to settle for.'

TLDR; body positivity is just fat women trying to guilt trip their way into bed with men with sixpacks. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA no.

Question is; did the club have this sign posted? If they did, what's the beef?

Every male who ever set foot in a nightclub can tell a story about this. I had a friend who worked in security and confirmed everything I suspected.

You can accept your "thicker, curvy" body all you want. You can even choose to "feel" good about it. But despite what you've been told, you cannot force people to change their behavior, preferences or choices based on how you say you feel...

What a fantastic life it must have been for them to live under the illusion that the world revolved around, and would change itself as a result of how they said they felt.

I'd like to sample that life for just one day. It must have really been amazing...right up until it made contact with reality.

Why would it happen? Why would they take steps to improve themselves? They got the world eating out of their asses. They are never wrong. They are always victims.

The political correct way to keep the fatties out is with narrow corridors and turnstiles, that way it's a fire safety issue.

I know this fat fact from being in Amsterdam's 1600's district TRAPPED by FATTY TOURISTS that could barely fit through the doorways and narrow halls! I couldn't get around them until they waddled out of the way!

They fit the character of Amsterdam the same way a 1972 Buick Lesabre fits their narrow cart path streets, taking up both sides of the road and bringing everything to a standstill!

I thought hyperinflation and the worst recession would trim a little bit of that fat, but I was wrong, the states increases their welfare payments to match inflation, they must want lazy sofa beasts otherwise they'd let them starve like the working class.

The people on welfare are already dependent on the state, that is where they want everyone for total control. The working class or middle class still has freedoms and options that have to go... Once wealth and ownership of the middle class is gone then they will get everyone working like communism/slaves. Give it time...
