Okay, but only if it's mandated that half the players are women, and not by team% but overall% and any team is free to have as many MVP's as they can afford!

The women that can endure the heat of refereeing and go for it make it on their own . Not that many guys want to do it .

I wanted to like Commissioner Silver, I really did. I was never a fan of how strict and rigid David Stern was, Adam Silver's the polar opposite of that. He's too progressive and I remember when he first implemented a female ref in a primetime game, I think it was the Clippers vs. Rockets back in 2014, officiating in that game was a DISASTER! If he goes through with this, man if you think refs are sensitive AF now, females will be ultra quick to call techs and fouls on anything, even if it's not remotely threatening! Fuck, it's really getting hard to watch my favorite sport now with this madness slowly but surely unraveling.

WNBA Players are a joke they expect to be paid like the men but lack the athleticism and entertainment factor to do so. The WNBA Olympic team could go up against say...the Suns G-League team and the Suns G-League squad would win by 40. It damn sure would be a slaughter!

Obviously there aren't any qualified females, but since virtue signaling is more important than maintaining standards in refereeing, lack of ability to do the job doesn't matter. The main goal is destroying another male system.

Feminism is ruining my favorite sport, might have to stop watching the NBA soon. They might as well put the final nail in the coffin for my second favorite sport, the NFL, and have half the referees there be women too. RIP sports world.

Well, all the out of work cheerleaders and grid girls need something to do. Besides, whimyn on the court could open up so many entertaining possibilities. Instead of a game MVP, they could have a game #metoo player. "He brushed my boobies when he ran past me!"

Once again, feminists in their rush to destroy another male pastime are apparently oblivious to the potential long term effects. Sure, they may well succeed in destroying the appeal of watching professional sports. But then, all of the men who watched, obsessed, and generally cared about professional sports will have to find something else to distract them. Otherwise, they might get to thinking about how shitty society is treating them, and that things weren't always like this, and maybe there are alternatives.

I know I'm gonna get banned for this, but where the hell are they gonna find skinny black women to officiate these games? Only black women will get those jobs (more quotas) and what black woman out of college more than nine months is gonna be skinny enough to run around the court without her face in her phone? And while we're at it, let's not stop at basketball! The NHL wants women on their teams now. Will the rules of hockey change to accommodate them? The only true gender neutral sport in America is...roller derby.

Brushing boobies is an art I'm well antiquated with.

While American sports can and do make spectacular mistakes, most of the time someone gets them back on track sooner or later. Nobody wants their cash cow to go away. Even if the basketball pros are willing to shoot themselves in the foot, I don't think the college teams will have anything to do with this turkey. College programs are even greedier that pro teams far as I can tell. No way will they mess with what they got now.
