Thread: MGTOW and cultural differences.

One thing I have been thinking about recently is how much MGTOW takes into consideration other cultures.
I think it is fair to say that MGTOW is predominant in western (highly mechanised) gynocracies, e/g:

United States
United Kingdom
Canada
Australia

This obviously means that it comes out of a certain culture which has a certain worldview about male/female and how relationship dynamics work. This can mean that our view of male/female relationships is skewed because we come at from a British (former colonies) view.

MGTOW may not take into account other cultures who are different. The French for example, although feminism is staunch in their countries, they don't have a culture of butch dykes. Their feminism is staunch, but they maintain a certain femininity about themselves.

The South American woman has a strong identity and demands equal treatment but is much more up for a casual sexual encounter or just generally spending time with men and even in the office environments don't mind some sexual innuendos.

This leads me to think that maybe MGTOW doesn't not take into account cultural differences.

I understand that Hypergamy is true in every country, and at any epoch - after all, hypergamy is just the way the world works.

I wonder though, what are the fellow gentlemen feelings about this matter? I understand we have a few gentleman from the European continent here. Do you see a difference that is worthwhile mentioning on this forum which may enlighten us about how females behave/think in your culture?

I don't know who trashed black family life in America, or why they did it, but they did. Now that's done, they seem to have returned for the honkies. Makes no sense to me, why would the blue pill world want to bust up family's? But that what it looks like their doing.

I have no idea if things are really different in different places, maybe it’s just a matter of awareness levels, people tend to be people after all. Gynocracy-wise I know things here in Ireland don’t seem to be just as bad as in the U.S. for example, but there are many parallels – give it time.

Even prior to the internet, ‘individual’s rights’ was a big thing in the west what with unions and SJWs etc. Whilst I have no way of knowing for sure, IMO this was a concept that just wasn’t part of the makeup of much of the rest of the world and indeed would be punished severely in many places.

Add the internet and these concepts spread much quicker than in any time in our history. We may be ahead of the curve so to speak, but others are catching up fast as they can point to the west and say ‘Well if they can do it so can we’.

As I previously stated I have no idea how big MGTOW might be in other parts today, but if it isn’t already a thing, prepare for an explosion.

Just a suggestion, maybe there’s a fair bit of cognitive dissonance going on.

Some of us (the human population) think about what is going on around us and this causes us to take a particular direction in life. Some turn MGTOW for others it could be PUA, SJW, MRA, Feminism etc.

But most of the blue-pill world, male and female, doesn’t do this. They live a life of conflict between what they have been led to believe and cling to, and what their ever increasing years of experience tell them.

I think many of them see most of the things we talk about here. They see a need for change but the sheer scope of the things that need to change leads to apathy and they are therefore willing to accept any change in the ‘hope’ that things get better. After all we’re busy people with families and careers and mortgages and debts and social lives – we don’t have time to think for ourselves.

In this way society gets manipulated by extremist views leading to an anarchical society, supported by a population just wanting any sort of a change. This anarchy is almost inevitable partly because these views often conflict and partly because some people see an opportunity in exploiting conflict to their own ends; they want it.

And given enough time, unjust laws get passed.

There are cultural differences everywhere, but with globalisation there are much more cultural similarities.
As an example, I have been noticing some Spanish expressions entering the vocabulary of some MGTOW from the US. Nothing is wrong with that, but I doubt it is conscious.

The same way, as someone from the southern europe, I can say that there are differences. It is uncommon here for women to be stay-at-home mons, there are still some idealistic "equality" that resulted from the transition from a very traditionalist society.

But the path is the same, only the timing is different.

Culture is rooted in the biological and environment, so in the end there will be overlap and this is the core of gynocracy. Once men figure all that out a lot of infighting between other men would quiet down.

This is why a man that has traveled to distant lands has an appreciation for finding those common links. It quells that uneasiness in his mind about what if there are greener pastures elsewhere? The mind is often the greatest enemy of man because man often lets imagination to dictate reality. Mastery for a man formulates when reality overcomes all.

Out fo curiosity Azure, but how do you maintain this stance in your everyday life?
I often find myself falling into illusions, 'oh I am not being exploited at work' (when in fact I am), 'oh women in other countries are more palatable' (which, even if true is not a game changer).

I often find myself 'signing up' to a new idea, new worldview which then disappoints me.

I am thinking of switching internet providers. I currently pay around £50 a month; which in the UK the premium level. But on rare occasions I get low signals and no signals in some cases.

So I am unhappy - but I know switching providers is a hassle and even if switch somewhere which is less than half what I pay now; I will most likely regret it. Yet it remains an attractive option...

I see MGTOW as a pretty open tent.

As to why the blue pillers want to break up families the answer is simple: Marxism. They don't want you owning anything, not even your own children. If the parents are absent, then the state gets to raise your children and to teach them to be loyal and subservient.

I used to overthink things when I was younger, but now I realize life is short. So if you find something better come along? Pull the trigger.

If women are capable of constantly looking to upgrade their life then so can men. Men have to operate on a mind frame that they should see their world full of options and not limitations.

This is hard to overcome because of routine and circumstances. But that dedication to change has to be there for everything else to follow. With everything in this world there are pros and cons and opportunity costs.

I will sit down and make a list about what I like and don't like and decide from there. This is something I learned in grade school but it works as an adult man.

Yes. Personally I'd put it down to a side-effect of the western credit expansions (easy money?) and tech revolutions (we get to communicate anonymously and safely) alongside the slow death of tribalism (ties that bind?) and assault on traditional roles (expands GDP..sells more stuff).

But also, not really since all cultures have that which may be considered MGTOW but just, not viewed through our western lens and, lets face it, comparably cossetted reality.

Personally I'd consider modern western MGTOW as the pinnacle of existential luxury since we don't have to be expelled from society, join a bandit organisation, suffer or starve (if the 'fuck-off-fund' is healthy enough), comply or die etc etc in order to accept our 'reality' for what it is and to begin to simply enjoy life.

I have the pleasure of having met folks from all over the world due to living bang in the middle of the UK, the cross-roads of the world (given the diversity of the visitors and settlers) and being quite chatty and approachable and indulge therein and believe me.....all over the world its the same shit.

For me its just a question of self-ownership and accepting reality for what it is rather than what I wish it was but manipulating it to my own advantage as required.

So yes illusions and delusions are just that, passing thoughts and who is in command of those thoughts?

Yes, work and everything else is exploitation but thats life, life is predicated on transaction and utility. Everything does it.

(I use Post Office Broadband since in the UK, all Broadband is BT but via resellers and BT are shite, they steal your data and you'll get funny calls from Indian scammers but P.O hasn't given nme a problem except that any engineering calls go through to the B.T center and it seems you need to be noted as a complainer and a bit tech savvy to get a very, very good service eventually.)

I tell my blue pilled friends (acquaintances really, not friends, and that too temporary ones), that our country, which sometimes they try to be proud of for all the wrong reasons and misinformation, I tell them that we are quite "popular" !! They dont like it when I say that.

But yeah, getting funny calls from scammers ATLEAST once every 2-3 days is business as usual here. And I am saying that as someone who doesnt even deal with public. I dont know how often others get it, but my guess would be atleast 2-3 times a fkn day.
