For every guy that identifies as MGTOW I wonder just how many others are out there that maybe haven’t even heard of the term.
Why ask the question?
Well, I personally know a group of about 15 – 20 men in the 30 – 45 age group that don’t seem to have much interest in relationships with women. (I’m being deliberately vague here so as not to doxx my situation) They don’t strike me as incel as they have friendly, outgoing personalities, are ordinary, average looking guys, and for the most part are in gainful employment. They socialise together regularly, they seem happy, and enjoy female company – some engaging in short term relationships but none seem interested in ‘settling down’. None of them have ever been married and as far as I know none have kids. Neither do they come across as gay which could be another reason for lack of interest in females.
Saying that I personally know them, I only know them well enough to know a few of their first names and to pass a few comments about the weather, sports, politics or current affairs, not well enough to bring up subjects such as MGTOW.
Whilst I could insert myself easily into this group, as a ghost I have no desire to do so. They seem happy with their lives as am I, although I must admit I am more than a little curious. For all I know they are all active online just as they don’t know I am (I presume). That being said they don’t strike me as the type, but then again I go to great lengths not to appear as ‘the type’ in my real life encounters so who knows?
Just as I feel I have found a community here online that I can identify with, this group has managed to do just the same thing in real life. I have absolutely no idea if they’re even aware of the concept of the red-pill, but to me it doesn’t matter that much as the effect is much the same.
Even if they don’t articulate it they are obviously aware of how gynocentric society has become. This blows my mind simply because for years I felt I was alone here in Ireland in my views with regards women and relationships.
Regardless of online statistics and theories about what is and is not, we are not alone my friends.
