JP seems like a wishy-washy purple pill poser to me. Basically take what you need and leave the rest.

In hardware-engineering terms, every human being is a black box: there are inputs and there are outputs, but how those outputs are generated inside the black box is not knowable. It's all conjecture anyway. And so I say, why bother with it in the first place. A person is either right about something or wrong about something, and so his opinion is either valuable or disposable.
I couldn't agree more. Again the point of the OP was to point out to the uninitiated that even the great JP admits he has seriously failed men. His world view is incomplete and must be viewed with skepticism. His core message of taking responsibility for yourself is valid, but it would be wise to exit that highway before you get to the "find a woman to serve" part of the program.

Re: An important message from Jordan Peterson

I'll admit not having watched the video. I was more interested in what you guys thought than in anything JP was saying. I write that with no sarcasm at all. I already know that JP is married and thinks it's a good thing for him. From that fact, I KNOW that his circumstances/experiences are vastly different from my own. And so his opinions will and should be different from my own. Given how different his circumstances and experiences have been, I don't need to hear him espouse his opinion to know that it is different.

But however educated he may be, he has NEVER spoken to me about my circumstances. His knowledge of my circumstances is zero. On the subject of my circumstances and my experiences, he is completely ignorant. On the subject of my own circumstances and experience, I am the most educated and informed of anyone in the world.

When I made my decision to go mgtow, this is the reason that I did not ask JP for his opinion. I didn't need his permission to go mgtow. I didn't need his approval to go mgtow. And I don't need his forgiveness for it, either.

I will acknowledge that he is an expert on his own circumstances and experiences, and wether he acknowledges it or not, I will defer to my own expertise about mine.

Like probably everyone else here, my life experience includes a divorce. I/we have personal experience passing through that government run legal machine. If JP does not have that experience, how much of an expert can he actually be? Given the impact of that machine on the lives of over half the men who agree to sign a marriage license, it seems like a very large gap in his 'expertise' on relationships if he has never experienced it. To clarify, I'm certainly happy for him that he found a way to spare himself from that shit storm by finding a woman that he could make happy everyday for the rest of her life. And if he continues to do so he will continue to spare himself that shit storm.

But I too have found a way to spare myself that shit storm. (at least, to spare myself from it ever happening again). And my way is 100% RELIABLE.

JP's way is not. He believes that he is going to be able to be adequate to keep a woman happy for the rest of her life. And in response to the position that the current marriage/divorce/relationship industry is just a way to separate the 'weaker men', I will make the following observations:

Robin Williams: funniest man alive, but got declared inadequate by a woman and financially destroyed for it.
Brad Pitt: Sexiest man alive if you believe People Magazine, but got declared inadequate by a woman and lost access to his kids for it.
Jeff Bezos: Wealthiest man in America, but got declared inadequate by a woman, and when she and the courts are finished with him, he will not be the wealthiest man in America anymore.

If JP believes he is going to continue to win where these men have already lost, well, it's a free country and it's certainly his option to gamble his wealth on that prospect.

I will save my wealth to gamble on better odds in other games. And he can save his opinions for those men whose circumstances are more consistent with his own.

Tradcon logic falls apart when you examine women are still having children but outside of wedlock or no father around. Asking men to pursue family building when .gov replaced that role is why JP has a huge blind spot.

The norm is that children grow up now in 2 to 3 different households which basically makes most children like foster children now. Thus, these children feel detached from the idea of a nuclear family and grow up accepting a shared household strategy to raising children.

A mother and father that have their own households, their own bank accounts and their own sphere of friends and family shows that the world has adapted. Because of high divorce and infidelity there is no need to have a man and woman live under one roof, share bank accounts or have the same sphere of friends and families.

JP is asking for all of that return is like asking for the horse and buggy to return.

JP is stuck on the archtypes of the 20th century when it is the 21st century.

As for that girly named Mr Peterson, I wasn't impressed with his comments on MGTOW the first time I heard him, that was the moment his credibility dropped with me and I listened to him no more.

Quote Peterson "You can't find someone" "No one wants to be intimate with you".

He really doesn't understand mgtow in the slightest if he equates mgtow with concepts like that. Mgtow is having the confidence in oneself to say to women 'your conduct and behaviour is morally reprehensible' a marriage contract is morally reprehensible and one sided. I do not care if the law says that, I will not submit to any such law by entering into a marriage contract on those terms either through marriage or cohabitation."

Everything the Nazis did during world war 2 was legal, but few people had the courage and strength of principles to stand up and say "no, what you are doing is morally reprehensible and on principle I refuse. I will not take part in that".

If Peterson can't see that, then he's not as smart as he thinks he is.

He even admits in the video that he coached everything to guys in family court to do everything right and they were still decimated and yet he does not stop to question that is not morally reprehensible and that men should not stop and take a stand and say we will not allow this to happen to our fellow men?!

I can't speak for anyone else, but I know I can find someone and women would like to be intimate with me. But I do not want them. I want them to leave me alone. I have chosen not to play that game, because I am disgusted that they are allowing this to continue and I find it morally reprehensible.

Not all Germans were like that, but we can surly relate!
