Mental Labor For A Trade I'm Not Employed In

I'm part of this group of folks who are fans of all the local sports teams, and we started this tradition of giving our extra tickets to other people within the group. It's a pretty cool thing because different people have hookups for different teams, so we end-up with free hookups for every team. Up until this point, all of my ticket exchanges have been with men, but my freebie for this weekend is coming from a female. Let's look at the differences in the transactions from a gender perspective.

Here is literally 100% of the meet-ups I have had with the men in the group.

    1) They offer a ticket(usually via text) and tell me which game it is
    2) I respond that I accept
    3) On the day of the game, they text and tell me which gate they're in front of
    4) I walk to that location. Get my ticket. Enjoy the game.

It's just that simple. It can't get any easier than that.

My hook-up this weekend is from a female. Here's how that has transpired.
    1) A few months ago, she sends a message asking if I was interested in a potential hockey ticket in the future
    2) I responded that I was definitely interested
    3) Two weeks ago, she sends a message stating that a ticket was available
    4) I checked my schedule and accepted the offer
    5) She sends a message stating that in the coming weeks, we will make further definitive plans
    6) A week later, she sends another message stating that I need to call her so that we can make arrangements to plan the logistics of the exchange.

WTH man? Notice how the correspondence started before the ticket even existed. You know that there will be further correspondence on the day of the game too. By the time I make the phone call, I won't break even on my return on investment because I could've used the time and energy I used communicating with her to raise enough money to buy a ticket, a jersey, and a few beers. With the guys I deal with, it's the most stress-free endeavor possible, but this woman wants to play several rounds of mental grabass. All this transaction involves is one person handing a piece of paper to another person, but she has turned it into an upper-echelon scenario where it's like handing-off a secret briefcase that is being delivered to The Pentagon. This isn't a young women either. I think she's 53 years old. If handing-off a piece of paper is this much of a fiasco, I have no clue how I ever survived being in relationships with women. I know exactly what she's doing; She's milking this minor scenario for every bit of attention that she can get. If a man acted in this manner, people would think he was mentally ill, and they'd more than likely be right about that fact.

The price of the ticket increases the closer to the game, peaking at the day of the game, right? Perhaps she thought she could sell it to you at a higher price and make a profit?

There is no money involved, and even if there was, there is no reason for it to take several logistical steps more than it does when these events involve men.

Does she know that? She used the word transaction. Not gift.

You're reading far too deeply into this and missing the entire point in the process. I used the word transaction. She never did. At absolutely nowhere in my post did I indicate a direct quote from her. I'll simplify it for you

-When men give me tickets, it's a no-stress scenario
-Receiving a ticket from this woman has led to numerous logistical hurdles I don't go through with men.

In the OP you made it sound like an exchange of extra tickets. If one already possessed an extra ticket, you gave it away. Then you noted that this woman offered the tickets even BEFORE they where distributed... Which made me assume that she was a sort of "mom-entrepeneur." Like the ones who get caught in multi level marketing schemes. Thinking she has found a quick and easy way to make money.

No, this is a free ticket scenario. No money is going to be exchanged, and she is fully aware of this.

They're Free.99, but I have a Groupon for 100% off the entire price, on top of a Buy None, Get One Free deal. Certainly, this price issue needs to be discussed much more deeply though.

Go on then...you've twisted my arm. If they're free, I'll take two...as long as you throw a couple of free one's in with it to sweeten the deal!!

Oh, it's more than just attention, buddy. She is 53 and she wants a real man. She has seen you before and saw in this ticket thing an opportunity to attempt to get with you. So, 1) she contacts you early about a ticket that doesn't yet exist, hoping you like hockey. 2) You said yes. You are a real man. Her plan moves forward. 3) She contacts you again, all lubricious, seeing if her fantasies about you will not be dashed by what you say next. 4) You offer an innocent, "I accept". Upon hearing this, she slides off of her chair into a pool of pussy juice on the floor. 5) She messages you but you do not reply. Her hamster is now masturbating in its cage over your obvious Alpha behavior. 6) She texts you a week later because she just HAS to meet you.

    Or, maybe I'm wrong... LOL

LOL. The sad thing is that even if you're wrong, your story is still not that outlandish considering other stuff I've seen. There's no way I'm nearly Chad enough for any woman to spring moisture eternal over me, but you just can't underestimate the depravity of a wallbanging former Chad-chaser.

Cool. I'll give you a handful of free tickets, but first, you have to message me. That won't be the actual message where we make plans though, it will just be the message where we decide when the phone call will take place for us to actually make plans. After that, I'm going to send you an "Are we still on" message a few days later to see if you want to amend the original plans. Then, on the day of the game, I'll confirm that I brought all of your tickets, but I'll want you to write me back to confirm that you still want them. Then, when I give you the tickets, I'm going to tell you what time to meet me, but I'm going to show-up late because I want to make an entrance. Then, after the game, if I see you throw the ticket stubs away instead of saving them in a scrapbook to remember the evening, I'm going to get furious with you and ruin your reputation. This is going to be great!

You mean to say that you aren't going to text me after you have ruined my reputation to see if I've appreciated having my reputation ruined? Really??

In that case...you can stick your tickets right up your arse.

But make sure you text me before you stick them up your arse, during the arse sticking and again after you've got them fully up your ass.

I was watching a video on just this subject. The guy was MGTOW something. He described watching some ten year old boys playing and asking the 10 year old girls to get lost and leave them alone. He says that this is the last few years of freedom they will ever know. Once puberty hits, they will be prisoners to their libidos. Even if you choose MGTOW, the lust is always there. From the post 60 perspective I can say this is not true for the rest of your life, only until you reach just about my august age. My endocrinologist asked me about my libido just the other day. I replied what libido? I don't miss it.

Do not provide a place for women to masturbate mentally. Men should stop hamsterbation dead it's tracks.

"It's a yes or no question. Let me know when you've made your decision."
"Listen, if this is too difficult for you to process, I can always go elsewhere."

    Women hate being infantalized.

So maybe they should just stop acting like infants and get their emotional needs in check.

    Yup.

You know what else gives me the shits? People making work-related calls during work hours on a blocked/private number. It's something that only women do. Without fail.

    Never rent off a chick.
Never stay in a group house where a chick holds the lease.
Never buy something jointly with a chick.
Never do business with a chick.
And, it seems, never attempt to exchange free football tickets with a chick.

It also seems to be the case that even when she's 53, she's still a goddamn chick.

Naaaah, it's because they're all timid and terrified of every little thing, and because their heads are just a rats-nest of overcomplicating the shit out of everything. She is worried about being mugged in a carpark by a strange man whom she doesn't personally know. Never mind that he's part of a network and that sort of thing would certainly come around to bite him in the ass. Never mind that most people are decent. She has lived her entire life in a world where half the people are bigger, stronger, and more physically aggressive than her and who all want something off of her.

It's not her fault, but she's acutely aware of power. She won't do anything without constructing an elaborate hedge.
