men's rights only gains traction when women approve of us having rights

Alpha Game: How you know they're important

Now, I very much encourage what these women are trying to do. It's not even remotely their fault that they find themselves being given a platform denied to the men they are trying to support. Dr. Helen, in particular, is always very good about rejecting the idea that she speaks for men or that she even can speak for men. She understands that we are perfectly capable of speaking for ourselves and points that out with regularity. But it is still a bit ironic, if entirely predictable (and it was, in fact, predicted), that the aspect deemed most newsworthy about the Mens' Rights movement is that there are women who support it. Real live women and everything!

It is great that Dr. Helen and other women are getting the word out there; exposing people to the ideas is far more important than establishing any cults of personality, and let's face it, some of our sites can be a bit much for the neophyte. But it is still amusing to see an article with pictures and glossy illustrations of Janey-come-latelies who have been addressing the subject since the early days of 2011.
if we still need approval from our masters before we are allowed to be considered human beings, then I don't see how that makes us human beings in the eyes of society. it makes us a fractured utility, performing underneath desired specifications, and in need of repair.

I do not exist to serve a utility to a cunt. my life does not belong to someone else. I will never accept being under the dictatorship of a twat.

this is why MRA fails. they have joined up with frightened tradcon women who know the price of misandry means the utilities get shut off everywhere across the country. all they want is marriage 1.0 back. an era where men had to take on another man's daughter, so that she was effectively his own daughter. but frivorce is bell that cannot be unrung. women wiped their asses with the social contract, flipped it over, wiped again, and then shredded it and stuffed it down our throats.

Re: men's rights only gains traction when women approve of us having rights

It's an unfortunate truth, that an "underclass" (real or perceived) won't get traction in the struggle for equal rights without help from the "upper class." We've had two examples of that, in USA history, within my memory, the fight for Blacks' rights and the fight for Women's rights.

Blacks would not have gotten equal rights if Whites hadn't joined their side, marching with them, rallying with them, exhorting the legislatures to "do the right thing." Women would not have gotten ahead, as they have, if men - White Knights in positions of power - hadn't given them what they demanded, time and again and again and again.

Women are valued more by mass society because eggs are precious and sperm is cheap. In elder days, before obstetric forceps, before Ignaz Semmelweis taught obstetricians to wash their goddam hands between patients, childbirth was almost as risky for women as warfare was for men. Babies, children, were precious in a culture where your children were your "safety net" and where families took care of their elders as a matter of course; and women were the "precious vessels" wherein fertilized eggs grow into babies. They were smaller, they were weaker, but they were built to incubate, bring forth, and nourish and nurture their young. It was men who went out to hunt, or to fight, to protect and provide for the women and children; they got injured, they got killed, but as long as the women and children survived, the tribe went on.

Well, in the last decades, a lot of that has been turned inside-out. There were less than three billion people on Earth when I was born, and I remember the anxiety about over-population since my childhood! We're up to 7 billion now, more than doubled in half a century - but the increase has been in South America, Africa and Asia, because (among so many other privileges) the Western woman has been given the privilege to terminate her pregnancy - or to keep the kid as a "meal ticket" to welfare, free housing, child support. She's got the right to "compete" with men for the best jobs, the privilege of getting those jobs in the name of "diversity goals," and now her spokes-wenches are hollering to demand "free child care" as a "right" so she can kaffeeklatsch with her colleagues without having to worry "what about the brats?"

And yes, jso - "frivorce." She has the right to take you to court and divorce you for no better reason than "she isn't haaaaappy," and they have the authority to take all you worked to build and provide, all you hold dear, and leave you with the mortgage and the alimony and the child-support payments. Ask our late, lamented Robin Williams about how that works out.

But still, we have the right to turn our backs on the marriage contract. We still have the right to Go Our Own Way. We also have the right to speak out for our own rights; the only problem is that Society doesn't listen to "the disposable man." If it takes spokesWOMEN for Men's Rights to get our message heard, well, it took spokesWHITES to get a hearing for Blacks' Rights. I'm just glad if Society starts listening.

I agree with every word, but I also recognize the same bitterness that I try to overcome in myself. The stages of grief are: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. I learned long ago that there is no bargaining with the she beast as they never are held to any agreement once they got theirs. As a result I really have only 4 stages of grief over finding out that everything I was ever taught about women and relationships was a lie. I have oscillated between anger and depression for many years, and am hoping to age into wisdom and acceptance someday.

If that's not poetry, I don't know what is

Probably the best post on this site. A-Z, all included, no more to add, close the site down, very hard to top that.
If you see an average human as a logical actor you might be dissapointed. If you see them as an input/output device you might not be.
