It sounds as if someone from the channel wants to boot him out. They left him out there for 20 minutes with no jacket. The way she was so smug about it tells me she is in on it. This is exactly what happens now if you 'wrong think'. Your work life is made a misery so that you quit. It was most likely due to something he said/did to another colleague. I know a toxic workplace and a targeted individual when I see it. They then re-framed it as a meltdown when it was simply an employee who was being mistreated venting off some steam no longer caring. I would say a group of news managers got together to do this to him.

I think venting on air was wrong and he should have rolled with it and then quit. Never stay at a workplace where people do not appreciate the hard work and value you give. No position is worth the destruction of your mental health - no matter the wage or cost.

I think it was staged, but whichever is true you still make interesting points.

Wrong for him and his career, yes. No-one else would hire him if he was likely to out them too. But right in that it exposes how many people feel about their jobs.

I wish people really did do this more often, but think of the lawsuits. All those greedy lawyers raking it in.
