Arson usually entails insurance fraud or property not your own, as long as he owns it outright and gets a permit, there's nothing they can do.

The only marital disputes I've ever had have been with relatives who bugged me about how come I never got married.

I get strange looks and criticism for turning down dates, I tell them just because she's single that doesn't mean I want to be available. Besides, I did all that too many times and got sick of it! There's no practical value in a modern relationshit of any kind, just a waste of time.

I get pushed toward the older ones -- either the divorced ones or the widowed ones. And they're all Socialists with zero clue about the disaster that's under way in this country, listening to NPR and wearing Nikes and driving Subarus. Oh yeah, and another thing: For some reason, a man with a woman a decade younger is a perv, but the other way around and the woman catches zero flak, just envy and retweets. Like those women are suddenly my responsibility and it's my job to suffer their 24x7 presence and aggravation, not to mention all their secret financial liabilities that don't squirm out of the closet and show their faces until after the rings are on. Like that all fits some sort of perverted, self-destructive definition of "manning up."

I think you brought up something profound.

Men are supposed to be useful utility.

There is the expectation is that older men have a "duty" to provide Resources, financial security,
while younger men have a 'duty' to provide Physicality (scratch those vagina tingles),
for the 'second hand,' 'leftover,' and 'invisible' (to Chad) women.

A man who trades some of his surplus Resources for the company of young, fertile women is a heretic.

The response is fear. You not only represent one fewer man who cannot be yoked, but you represent one, maybe two less woman who will not have a Beta provider.
It is like the scene in the movie "They Live" where the woman talks into her wrist transceiver and says "We have one that can see!"

Which is crazy, because the divorced and widowed women are still living off the surplus the man worked to accumulate in the form of Social Security benefits, alimony, life insurance, etc.

I think I get hated more by other men than I do by women, because the men see how I'm using my brains to make decisions -- not my pecker, or my emotions (whatever the hell those are) -- and they're the ones who are supposed to live that way but they totally dropped the ball. They failed to analyze, and believed the lie instead. They succumbed to their primal urges, and accepted the ankle shackle and the chain. And now they feel like dopes for it. It was fun for a while, maybe a few months or a year, until the truths slowly began to leak out. (Yes, that was intentionally plural; the curses are multiple.) I could spend the whole day providing examples I've personally witnessed. Men who look exhausted and worn out not only physically but also spiritually, like they've been sucked dry by some vampire but somehow they're still able to walk, function, and fake contentment.

I think what disturbs them even more -- more than being broke and enslaved for having made one of the worst possible life choices -- is that they realize it's a blind alley with literally no way out.

For the lurkers reading this, go look up the divorce rates over the last several years, then go look at the marriage rates, then go look at the reproduction rates. Then come back and talk to me.

Indeed. It's no coincidence married men are often alcoholics, depressed or permanently angry. Or all three.
