Other than that, I infer her situation is completely acceptable to the District Attorney.“The alleged battery of an unhoused member of our community is completely unacceptable. Mr. Gwin will face appropriate consequences for his actions,” District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said
And the article ends on that note.San Francisco Board of Supervisors President Aaron Peskin, whose district includes Jackson Square, called Gwin's actions "unconscionable, it’s abuse.”
“I don’t care how frustrated somebody is, this is not the way human beings treat other human beings,” Peskin told the Chronicle.
Peskin said his office has tried to help the woman, who is known in the neighborhood.
Well, reporter, since you brought it up, don't stop there. What kind of help? Something better than a water hose, I suspect? Why has his better plan failed to work? Why no attempt to hold Peskin accountable for making no difference in the life of this member of the community? For passing the consequences of his failed policies onto the store owner and others? Is this how he treats other human beings, no more than some medieval kings cared about their peasants?
