"Living in your moms basement" is basically a cheat code..

There is a whole stigma around the society about "Living in your moms basement" but when you start to think about the society's shaming insults,it becomes a cheat code in living.

Imagine the costs you will save throughout these days by living with your parents.I don't have to pay for extra housing,I don't have to buy extra car,I don't have friends so I don't have obligation to spend money at any restaurant and etc.. Like if you save 70% of your expenses by not marrying anybody, you will save 99% with this.

People in my age that I hear from my family are buying new cars, new houses, getting married and getting a lot of debt and shit but I don't have that kind of problem. You can also divide the house chores around the family if things get bad (mom/dad gets sick or they are busy at that day),less fuel payments. My parents supported me on my mgtow ghost lifestyle, they even know that I am a MGTOW (my father fully supports me on that idea,my mom also does but you know she is a woman.) and that means a greater advantage to me. They know that I won't have to pay for expensive dates, buy houses or cars.I can save that money for myself and do what the hell ever I want. Watch youtube all day, workout, listen to music, read books, cook whatever meal I want without having to worry the next paycheck as I save shitload of money.

Like I listed whatever I want materialistically from my life and it seems to me that It will be completed by the time 26-27. Like what the hell could I ever want? I just graduated from school and everything I need or want is there for me. I can just focus on enjoying my life and my self-improvement .
Why do we all have to wear these ridiculous ties?!

Sounds like what I had for a few years. Couldn't work anymore, had to go and live with parents again, got on welfare, and went from broke to having 10k on my bank account in almost no time. Or at least it felt like no time. I then moved out again, rented a place, used the money to decorate the place exactly I wanted, and while I save much less on a monthly basis, I still have plenty of money left, because after rent and other standard payments:
    - I quit smoking, so that's 100 bucks a month saved
    - I only buy groceries once a week for myself
    - often buy things in bulk, like plain t-shirts and boxershorts
    - no dating
    - no gf/wife
    - no alimony or child support

On one hand it might've been better if I stayed with my parents, with only a bedroom to myself, but having your own place far outweighs it, unless you share a big ass house with your parents and basically don't see them until it's dinnertime, like a friend of mine's life is now.

I also have no girl or hook ups in my life, nor any friendship.I don't drink, smoke and etc . I only spend money for food or buy a new computer once in 5-6 years. 90% of my time is spent inside my bedroom as I work from there (freelance software engineer). I don't plan to move out as I don't have any siblings and most of the time my parents aren't at home due to work. Living with my parents also saves me time as we help each other around house chores. I don't need anything other than a quiet place to study and work so there is no need for me to move out.

I lived free with my parents until age 23-24. I saved essentially 90% of my money from the Ebay/reselling business I had going. I ended up retiring super early and a millionaire by 30.

With no point of "getting out there and finding a wife" -- sure men should live with parents. Just try to not be a prick and don't blow your money. I would just make tentative plans to work towards buying a house by 25-30. This just keeps you on track towards having enough resources as you age.

Totally. I live minimalistically, I own little to no possessions except my laptop and few other things. I serve in the army right now and it will end in 9 months so I plan to create my own gym so I don't have to pay obscure prices or have to share space with retards. I dont plan to buy house, my grandmas house is on my fathers name and we also have 2 houses on our name, that makes it 3. My father plans to inherit them all to me so I don't have to worry about buying one. I just plan to find a job after the army, work and get along.

I don't plan on world tours, vacations, hook ups, drinking at pubs. I live as a ghost so life is so cheap for me to live that way. I am always a frugal type of guy so I don't have economical problems .

I lived with mine longer than most guys did back then, though it was more on and off than steady. I never turned it into a million bucks, but did quit my job and get a summer on the road out of it. Twice. It worked for me.
Every day I make the world a little bit worse.

Yes, it's bullshit shaming to put a man down for living in his parents basement, guest house, spare room, or whatever. You'll notice how often the shaming of men is about money. Anything other than getting in a high-status career and paying a shit-ton of money for a fancy house is looked down on. Society's demands on us are absurd.

Living with your parents isn't for everyone, but it can work for some. My parents would drive me nuts, and I would probably drive them nuts as well. There are some other cost-cutting options. If you have a friend with an RV or a guest cottage in his back yard, you could live there for little or no rent.

The bottom line is, once you're MGTOW, and are deprogrammed, you can make decisions in you best interests. There's no need to please women.

From what I've been reading the past few years it is becoming more and more common. Renting is expensive and a waste of money unless you have no choice but to live in a different area altogether from your parents and interest rates and property prices make it impossible for the average young person to get a house.

I think the whole "Living in mom's basement" thing is more a generic insult now than a precise way of insulting someone.

If your situation works for you, and you get along with your parents, then all the more power to you.
I didn't get out on my own 'til I was 24. Bought a little old house for <30,000 on 3 acres.

For me, that was great, being able to do what I wanted instead of being limited.

Sounds like you have a good situation there, plus the future inheriting of grandmas house,
that puts you ahead of the game.

As for the "basement dweller," my take on that is it only applies to lazy, whiny, entitled internet trolls who pound their keyboards,
NOT for those like you who are working hard, saving money, and improving themselves,
or those who have fallen on hard times, but still are working hard to get out of a bad situation.
As MGTOW, resistance to the collective is NOT futile.
Don't let yourself be assimilated and become a mindless zombie supporting and submitting to any woman.

Re: "Living in your moms basement" is basically a cheat code..

Basically just a way of insulting a man based on his relative value to women. Women want money and status so to call a man a basement dweller is essentially saying he has no value to women.

Granted, if a dude is "Chadly" enough plenty of women won't care if he's a homeless, unemployed, drug addict. I was watching that show Intervention last night and this heroin addict/thief/former marine living with his parents had an open door for 5+ years to cuddle with this very beautiful girl...he could literally pop up any time even if she was in a relationship and cuddle/watch a movie. Perhaps they just didn't want to say on the show what that really meant. When the person leading the intervention said she needed to end the friendship she started crying wanting to know when they could be friends again or if they could possibly be together.

I am 26 years old. I have grown up with a family that lost some of its member due to avid drinking. My family went on high debt payments due to my uncles prostitute habits. You tell those things to me like they are something important. I serve in the army now, probably more than half of my generation does not what kind of responsiblity that means . Also, I live in Turkey which means we can't get to spend money like that as we had 200% like inflation in last year.So go bloat someone else about your hedonistic lifestyle please. Just because you do those things does not mean that I will do too.

I don't feel that as limited, because I spent 9 years inside cities both for high school and universities. I am more of a village kinda guy where I like peace and solitude without having to cope with the stress of cities.Everything is great here as I plan, we can access best quality lifestyle (food, health, freedom etc..) so I don't need to travel anywhere else. As for family sake, I don't have any kind of problem as my family does not interrupt me about my lifestyle choice.

It's an outdated shaming tactic at this point. People forget it's not the 1980s anymore where you can easily work a decent job and get a house on the spot. Shit's expensive and unaffordable currently. Better to be called a loser living in their mom's basement than being in debt for an fake lifestyle just to attract a girl.

It’s amazing how society looks upon a man living at home as a loser, while it can’t seem to have enough praise for a self-absorbed twat with no real talent or skill who makes thousands of dollars stripping in front of her webcam.

It’s just one more way to degrade a man and chisel away at his self-esteem. It’s essentially sending a message that he man up and assert himself in the world or he’ll be humping a sock the rest of his life.

Any woman born with two working tits and a twat has an automatic cheat code for the remainder of her life. As a guy, I wish I had it that easy.

Yes...as long as a woman isn't morbidly obese she will essentially have the cheat code in life. See it everyday on social media. And even morbidly obese women with two kids by different daddies have an advantage over a good percentage of men.

The advantage women have is similar to the advantage men would have in sports if they weren't separated by gender.

Stop letting others dictate your life. Who cares where you live as long as you got a roof over your head and your bills paid. I'd be happy to live in a trailer and not GAF what others think.

Everyone ones to impose their opinions and views on others but do nothing to contribute to it. You don't like someone living in their mom's basement? Then find them a place and pay their rent! Simple as that.

I lived in a 12"x16" well insulated cabin between Bethel and Rochester Vermont, high above the White River valley. Nearest neighbor was 1/2 mile away, dirt road, side of the mountain near Rochester gap.

I'd wake up to a sunny day with dense fog blanketing the valley below giving the illusion of being a lake with other mountains far off rising above a perfectly flat blanket of fog, like looking down on a layer of clouds from an airplane.

I would often wake up to deer in the grassy area behind the cabin, we would just look at each other and go about our business, one time I caught my noisy loud fuck with everything dog sitting perfectly still and silent in a staring contest with a moose at the end of the driveway, he seemed to intuitively know not to fuck with something bigger than a moving van on four legs with hooves that were bigger than him! I wasn't sure if they wanted to be friends or the moose was ready to attack, never the less I scooped him up and brought him inside while the moose stood there watching things unfold.

My biggest fear was momma bear with her cubs, or a mountain lion stalking me. Nighttime was noisier than daytime when the nocturnal creatures came out. Toads, owls, howling wolfs were the loudest, not to mention the coons sniffing around and knocking shit over. Strongest moon shadow you can experience is on a mountain in any clearing, and night time with cloud cover blocking the stars you literally can't see your hand in front of your face, even when your eyes adjust to darkness, still blind as a bat and no sonar. Many times I found myself flicking a dead lighter on my way to put gas in the generator.

Honestly, I could live like that in perpetuity, but where I am now is similar, I've seen bears here, even a moose, but nothing like the Green Mountains of Vermont, the wildlife and large game outnumbers the people 10 to 1. One could easily supply all their protein nutrient needs by hunting and fishing, and gardens do good but it's a short growing season.

It's one of the most effective ways of getting ahead of the rat race, saving money and having a better life later on. They label you as independent the earlier you move out of your parents home, but it's the opposite. The earlier you move out, the more likely you are to live paycheck to paycheck or waste money renting. If you stay at home while you work, pay a little towards the bills and save the rest each month then by the time you leave you can either put down a deposit on your own place, or do something else. You will have more money and security when you leave.

But perhaps It's better for society if you leave early because you make an easier to control slave. I knew this guy that left his parents home early...and moved in with 10 other people renting a place. I bet the plandemic was fun...

This is the truth. The quicker you become "independent" the faster you get thrown into the grind. Once you're in the paycheck to paycheck grind it usually takes 3-4 decades to really get ahead...if you're somewhat lucky and play things correctly.

"The system" probably prefers you becoming independent and living this way...you inject way more money into the system over the course of your lifetime. The people that live with their parents, save 70% of their income, pay for a home quickly, live below their means, don't take on much debt with high interest, etc -- these people cause the system to lose out on a lot of money. Much of our economy is based on people being worker bees for 50 years that spend as much or more than they make.

If you're a man that's saving money AND not getting married/breeding you are scum to a lot of people. As a man you're supposed to be spending like crazy...taking on a wife with a big wedding/honeymoon, buying her all you can to spoil her...buying the kids crap, vacations, nice cars for the both of you since you work so hard, remodeling/upgrading houses every 10 years. Not doing all this means you are less of a man and free game to make fun of....maybe the last class of people where insulting them isn't looked down upon. Heaven forbid you call a woman overweight.
