Oh, my God, the stupidity never stops. First, James Bond isn't a real person. He's a fictional character. Second, he's never been a woman hater. He wasn't a woman hater in the original Ian Fleming books, and he was not a woman hater in any of the movies, regardless of which actor played the role. Bond is an intriguing secret agent character, not written realistically, but rather written over-the-top. He's a genius of undercover work who always gets out of trouble via his ingenuity and his use of special gadgets.

Here's the kicker. He's a hetersexual white male with all of the NORMAL sexual attractions any man would have toward women. He's also a highly prized alpha male himself, given that he's wealth and handsome and works in an important field. So, duh, he goes for young and beautiful woman with whom he has CONSENSUAL sexual relationships. This is what makes the feminists lose their shit. Never forget: The root of feminism is ugly women being pissed off that they're not pretty anymore. Feminists HATE the fact that top-tier men want young and beautiful women. Pretty much any non-brainwashed man looks at that and says, "Well, duh, of course he wants the young and pretty one." That's just the way male sexuality works. It's just the way it evolved over millions of years.

The feminist hatred toward James Bond is just another variation of the feminists gripe of "We don't like the way mother nature has set up sexuality, so we're going to blame that on men." You might as well hate gravity. "Gravity has been holding women down for centuries, and that's evil and is men's fault." That statement was equally rational to the feminists' demand that James Bond not go for beautiful women.

If the feminists had their way, James Bond would go on a mission and then meet a blimp-shaped 40-something woman who's in some elite profession like a lawyer, and then he would be so impressed by her career accomplishments that he chooses to sleep with her. Some women in the audience may even be deluded enough to accept that, but every single man in the audience would be sitting there thinking, "Ew, gross. What is he thinking? Why does he want her?"

Since none of the Bond films ever did that, now the feminists are talking about hijacking the 007 franchise by making a female James Bond. *eye rolling*

All of this babble and whining is about women being pissed off that biology didn't make them pretty forever. They didn't forever get to exploit their 20-something attractiveness and the HUGE privilege that it gives them. Their attractiveness wore off, putting them in the same situation most men have always been. Then they got pissed off and blamed men for it. Now a negative result of this latest feminist tantrum may be the ruining of the 007 franchise (just like they ruined Star Trek -- but that's another story.)

Standard case of women saying how "real men" should behave. Which of course is exactly what turns them off said man in the long run.

Feminists hate everything, they think all men are misogynist, especially MGTOW men. And why do they hate everything; it's because feminists are liberal people and liberals are intolerant whiny haters of everything. It's also because nobody likes them.

If you're not the Taliban, and you can't remove their negative influence on society, then the next best thing is removing ourselves from society, and that explains the phenomenon of MGTOW, it's a hands off approach compared to the Taliban but just as thorough at removing female dominion over men.

Good point. When a woman claims something like, "A real man would ..." [fill in the blank with what she thinks you should do]. That's total manipulation. If you're all tied up in knots for worshipping her, that statement would make you feel like you're in the wrong and that you should comply with her demand. Don't be that guy! Women don't get to define masculinity. We do. If some woman needs your help, but you have good reasons not to offer it, that's that. It's your decision.

It's the same thing with this "man up" order. It's an attempt to brand you as less of a man if you don't follow her orders.

This is why MGTOW is so powerful. You remove yourself from women's emotional manipulation. Nope, you don't have to help her get her car started or fix her computer or carry heavy stuff up the stairs for her. I'm not saying to never help a woman. Sometimes helping another human being is a great thing to do. I helped an elderly woman with her groceries because I could tell she was frail and that would be tough for her. However, she wasn't using the manipulative "man up" or "a real man would" bullshit on me.

My main point is not to allow yourself to be manipulated. Sometimes helping people is fine, but don't help the manipulative ones.

What they don't get is that real men don't give a shit about how being a "real man" is defined by feminists, or women in general. They will do what they do, even if it's not lining up with the definitions of those harpies. Because they're real men.

I never understand how they use the word "Misogynist". Bond loves women, he spends a lot of time bedding them. He likes their company he is not a marry and settle down type but he is not a pump and dump type either. And clearly the women he is attracts adore him as well. Been a while since I have seen a Bond film but as best as I recall he doesn't even ogle women or behave in a creepy way. He is too smooth for that kind of stuff.

Pretty sound analysis Tig. The good news is I don't think the miserable feminists will claim this one. Bond is as popular as ever and the new film seems to have excellent reviews.

And even if they think Bond is a 'misogynist' well, most women both on and off screen find him irresistible - in which case, pretty good argument in favour of 'misogyny'?

See this is what annoys me, that women want to confiscate the equity built up in that male character and transfer it to themselves. If they want to make their own character in its own universe, fine, but invest the time and effort to build your own equity in what you create. The instances, like Thor, where they turn him female is just more of the same looting that men have come to know.

Remember star wars? To me there are only two trilogies. The rest had SJW crap so I never watched or read about them. Stars ONLY HAS TWO TRILOGIES. Done. I cancel entire movies and series if hijacked. I'll bet the next die hard will be feminist. Don't worry only five die hards exist in my mind, and only three good ones too.

Bond died with the Cold War anyway. The idea of a Bond going up against China or Middle Eastern terrorists just doesn't have the glamour of a first world European opponent.

I loved the original SW trilogy growing up, the prequels were ok-ish but after that, I agree, too much propaganda. I don't watch TV shows or movies anymore because they are so heavy handed with their "messages" it is comical.

James Bond even made AMC look good!

Interested to know if anyone here has seen the new Bond movie and what they made of it. I've heard different things.

Loved some of the previous Bond films, particularly Casino Royale, so I do hope they haven't messed this up.

Nothing to see, here. They have been saying this about James Bond forever. The character was written by a naval intelligence officer who was deeply involved in actually fighting and winning a war.

I think they should rename the films to simply 007. That way that trans looking black chick can help put this tired franchise to bed.

Think about it, what they really can't stand is that he accomplishes and is his own man.
