Journalism is no longer a respectable profession

I know everyone knows this by now but nowadays Journalism is on the level of a High Schooler's diary. What I mean is that "Journalists" write articles that read more like a diary of a angst High School teen rather than actual news articles. Journalism is now a way for bitter people to air out their grievances with people they don't like, complain about something stupid that slighted them and then try to either demand for people to stop doing it or try to get it banned, make random accusations of racism and sexism where is there clearly none and slander someone to the point that their social standing is ruined or end up killing themselves.

Most Journalists are the equivalent of public school teachers but instead of influencing kids they're influencing Adults. Anyone can be a journalist but only very few are journalists.
Society's just one big clown show. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I think many people will tell you it's been in the toilet for 50 years. I'm in my late 30s and I don't remember a time in my life where things weren't biased.

Re: Journalism is no longer a respectable profession

The idea of the truly impartial journalist is nonsensical, at the very least they will report on stories that they believe are important and therefore there will always be bias.

That said, I have to agree with FireBird on this. It seems today that almost all journalism is following the lead of what was once known as the tabloid press – sensationalism is the name of the game.

It’s getting really difficult to find news articles that simply report the facts without inserting opinions.

Oftentimes this is overt, but sometimes it’s more subtle with the use of unnecessary adjectives (e.g. evil, disgusting, disgraceful etc.)

Even where the journalists themselves refrain from such terms they’ll often quote public figures using them thereby denying personal culpability yet getting their point out anyway through proxy.

Remember this: most media outlets are businesses just like any other, their main goal is to make a profit. Many, however, are designed to shape opinion, not inform.

Journalists are just a segment among the many that need to be lined up against the wall and turned to hog food.

Journalism and the media at large in the United States is a fucking joke. It’s a shame when a country deteriorates to the point where the citizens can’t even trust their own media outlets. Lies, propaganda, and all out bullshit.

Whatever. The world is a fucking disaster anyway. I don’t need the media to convince me of that.

Re: Journalism is no longer a respectable profession

I would agree and extend the range of professionals that are no longer "respectable".

When life is no longer based in reality but utopian ideals, that is when you cannot operate under what was once considered "respectable".

Now the school system indoctrinates young people and professionals with "social responsability" slogans. These young are really brainwashed.

It is quite easy to do this to people, just convince them that they are "better" than others, create new and artificial "virtues" and denigrate established values as old-fashioned, prejudice or exploitation.

People start defending "diversity" instead of defending their own.

Journalists start to filter what they report to advance their "virtuous ideas" instead of reporting what happens without injecting their opinions to it.

It goes through all fields. Moviemakers believe to be working for the social good instead of entertaining people and making money. Administrators beleive that their job includes "social education", or saying otherwise "follow the lastest virtue fad", instead their shareholders interests.

Take Disney latest debacles, and the massive loss of value that resulted. Without consequences!

And to compose the problems, the financial system now is a fraud, that gives away money to whomever better behaves according to the ESG directives, rewards people working in the financial system itself and disincentives productive endeavours.

What job do you think bright young men are striving to land? A job at MIT or Goldman Sachs?

Why would Boing make a new modern airplaine when they can leech on previous designs, adapt an oversized engine that messed the aerodynamics, and fix the issue with a crapy software patch? I bet the executives got a great bonus for it.
They can always pay politicians and corrupt regulators so that they can get away with it, and its consequences. If caught, they can always count on taxpayer's money to save them from their screwup. That is no longer a "screw up" but a new business model.

This cancer is spreading through society. Things get expensive with less quality. What is the incentive to build quality if you gain more business by selling crappy products? There was always this inherent conflict in industry, but competition avoided the worst tendencies.

Now the companies are too big, to intermingled, to global to care. If you dont care for the quality of a new Rolls-Royce you might go to a BMW, when they are both the same company.
And globally, who knows if the shareholders are all the same...

People realized that in corporate life and politics, truth no longer matters, merit is actually detrimental, morality a handicap, and the game is actually victimology olimpics. In that game, women, black women especially, are the future!

I leave you with a video from a company to has more money than competence, that promissed a revolutionary rocket engine in 2014, and still hasn't delivered. Please noticed the people working on it. I am betting that the first launch will fail...

I believe Paul Craig Roberts refers to journalists as "Presstitutes". After Big Pharma paid off the journalists and reporters to shill for the vaxx, seems appropriate that the most visible victims are the reporters suddenly collapsing in front of the cameras . . .

First they sterilized the internet by censoring anyone that dare ask a question to the contrary, they bolstered the lies and propaganda, and keep lock step marching over the corpses they ignore are happening. They're also ignoring natural immunity like it was the plague.

As far as it being a holocaust to depopulate the planet?

I got my eye on the nearest Air Force fighter base (BAFB) and their A-10's. Lets just say I'm gonna fly it like I stole it!
