    Jordan Peterson

A lot of young guys look up to him and MGTOW bros seem pretty into him. I just find him boring.

    Am I missing his greatness?

You aren't missing anything but a ton of guys worship him. Peterson could care less about them though. All he cares about is money.

    Re: Jordan Peterson

I just started listening to him this last week at work. I have hours every night to listen to whatever I want to when I'm at work, so naturally I am always trying to find new things. I figured he would be some sort of tradcuck conservative, based on what I'd heard about him, but I thought I'd give him a shot and see what the hype was about. I have to say, it wasn't at all what I was expecting.

He talks a lot about philosophy and psychology, and he has a lot of interesting statistical facts and analysis to back up what he says. He also talks a lot about history, communism, marxism, free speech, human capacity for good and evil, and what gives life meaning. He became very controversial when he came out publicly against a bill passed in Canada called C16, which was the first introduction of compelled speech in the history of British common law; all in the name of political correctness of course.

I don't agree with everything he says, and his philosophies certainly don't align perfectly with MGTOW. But overall, he is very thought-provoking, and definitely worth listening to if you have the time and inclination.

Peterson is a highly intelligent tradcon with no love for feminists. He's well spoken and an excellent debater - some of his vids tearing into feminist viewpoints are amusing. He initially had little love for MGTOW, calling us a bunch of "pathetic weasels". Later amending this that he regretted saying that (but never flatout saying it wasn't his opinion anyway, and for a man as well spoken as that, that is an important little detail I think).

I do not agree with his tradcon standpoint however. As intelligent as he may be, he's not going to push the genie back into the bottle anymore. The balance between the genders is irrevocably altered. The trick now will be to alter society sufficiently that there can be a healthy balance between the genders again. Right now, that just ain't happening, not with MeToo still in full swing. So MGTOW remains the way to be - at present there's nothing to be gained from attempting to pair up. Well. Not for men anyway.
Shame is a womans primary weapon. Watch for it, and call it out wherever you see it. Few women know how to handle a man immune to shame.

    Hi BillyJack,

You now have 22 posts on this forum. Your 9th post was your Intro of only 23 words and, as others told you there, that is hardly sufficient. In that New Member Intros forum, read the sticky called How To Intro then amend your 23 words to something much, much better. A valid Intro is a requirement and not a suggestion. We all had to do one. If you continue to post without a valid Intro, a Moderator will be contacting you.

    Thank you.

Vox Day is persuaded that he is Satan.

JP's ramblings - what I have seen of them - seem to be Jungian psychobabble.

"The story of Adam and Eve represents the fruit as producing a psychological transformation. So the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil is an abstraction across trees, and it's trying to say: 'Here's something that's common across trees, it's a fruit that's common across trees.' The fruit that's common across trees is something that you might call food, fair enough. But here's something that's even more cool: food that's stable across the entire domain of food, isn't food – it's information. We use the same bloody circuits in our brain to forage for information, that animals use to forage for information. Why is that? Because we figured out knowing where the food is, is more important than having the food… That's why we're information foragers."
An "abstraction across trees"? Fuck that. Anyway, surely the thing that's common across trees is having branches, or leaves (but what about pine trees?), or being tall and made of wood.

“The purpose of life is finding the largest burden that you can bear and bearing it.”
    ― Jordan B. Peterson
Fuck and double fuck that. Pure tradcuckery.

“To stand up straight with your shoulders back is to accept the terrible responsibility of life, with eyes wide open. It means deciding to voluntarily transform the chaos of potential into the realities of habitable order. It means adopting the burden of self-conscious vulnerability, and accepting the end of the unconscious paradise of childhood, where finitude and mortality are only dimly comprehended. It means willingly undertaking the sacrifices necessary to generate a productive and meaningful reality (it means acting to please God, in the ancient language).”
Hey everyone! Man up! Tow that line, lift that bale! We're creating habitable order, here!

I'd say "fuck that" again, but I ran out.

Peterson is not mgtow at all. Some confuse it when his topics fall into mgtow area of debate. The fact people like feminist and antifa hate him and try to silence him make it worth a listen.

I'd rewrite that last sentence as "you're a man, correct?"

BillyJack, post a bloody intro already!!

Jordan Peterson is 100% on the news and in the spotlight to get men back into the plantation! 100%.
Feminism has gone too far - next solution - diluted form of traditionalism. Pushed by Lauren Southern, Stefan Molyneux and Jordan Peterson.

Radfems are even better than these pieces of shit! You have a man who out of nowhere has become a celebrity and the insight he has shared to to tell you to clean up your room. Fuck me!

Or conspiracy theories about how the snakes from the hyppocratic oath symbol represent DNA.

On a more serious note, some of what he says is correct and important. It certainly should not be imposed upon us to use someone's "preferred pronouns" and when we refuse to do so we get punished for using "hate speech". In that sense he's an alright dude - but he clearly is a tradcon, yes.

Is he really trying to get men back to the plantation. I never felt he was until I heard him call MGTOW "pathetic".
I was surprised. He knows the risks for men. But I did hear him later say he was wrong in saying that.

He has a really boring voice. I suppose I admire him most for the calm way he deals with radicals and does his debates. His monk like.
How have these guys have been pushing traditionalism.

JP will sometiomes talk about Christian morals but Molyneux is an atheist I think. There on different spectrums.
And Stef is really more of a history buff i think.

Jordan makes sense when he talks and I love the way he shuts down liberal feminists. I don't consider him MGTOW, but he kind of crosses over onto our turf frequently, so he does piss off all the right people. For that alone I give him a two thumbs up!

You can bet top dollar on it mate.

Don't you think it is suspicious that out of nowhere, with all the hatred, backlash and his lack of PCness; he has become a top selling author and is now considered a cultural critique; if not the cultural critic of out time?

It is like some university teacher espouses the benefits of socialism; but he/she is unwilling to donate to charity.

Do not be fooled by Jordan fucking Peterson; he is 110% out there to get men back into the plantation and back onto the negotiation table!!

Just when things were switching in our favour and red pill knowledge (authentic red pill knowledge) was becoming easily accessible, then you get people who come in, take over and dilute the message.

Has JP shamed women? Has he slammed them for their hypergamous, morally corrupt nature? Consider these questions.

    Re: Jordan Peterson

Him being directly in the cross-hairs of the feminists and their weird bunch will serve as a lesson to us because when he ultimately fails, we will all get to see just how they dispose of him. That'll be a good day. Then we'll see who's the weasel.

IIRC from Jungian theory (it's been a while since I did psychology), the ultimate goal is individualism because when you apply this method to treat people, you aim for getting the person to realize and combine the different parts of their psyche so they become complete. They eventually become satisfied and the discord disappears. We, as MGTOW, are ALREADY there. We are the ultimate examples of individualism. As a psychologist, he should know that.

The fact that he is disappointed in MGTOW is alarming to me and it clearly indicates that he has ulterior motives.

Precisely. I am very very surprised that a clinical psychologist would attack someone for thinking for themselves and coming to their own conclusions on how to life their own lives.

    Very very suspicious indeed.

    Re: Jordan Peterson

I picked up his 12 Rules book and thoroughly enjoyed it. The guy is an interesting thinker and his youtube vids are very entertaining for me. The problem that I have with his message, isn't with his message per se, but his lack of options he acknowledges.

His biggest shtick, is that people (especially men) require something to work for to be happy. A purpose and meaning are essential to being successful and happy. That part of his message is good, and his arguments are well presented. The issue however, is that the only purpose he can recommend is the one that he chose for himself, getting married and raising great kids. He never once recognises that a man can take on the obligation of self improvement and receive fulfillment from that. Jordan Peterson believes that happiness can only be achieved by working towards the happiness of others and the betterment of all society. As a MGTOW I agree that goals and purpose are important to being fulfilled, but I believe that I can accomplish both without sacrificing myself needlessly.

Oh well, I'm probably just bitter.
