Jilted Bride Feels Entitled To $150,000 Because She Didn't Get Married

This guy went MGTOW with his bride by leaving a note on the bathroom mirror stating he doesn't want to marry her. So he breaks off the wedding, but the bride feels entitled to $150,000 in compensation for being engaged to the guy that dumped her.

It's a man's world and we need to take it by the throat and make it give us what we desire.

Wow. That would set a VERY bad legal precedent: a way for a woman to drain a man's financial resources without ever having been married to him and without ever having had his children.

When it's field day for thieves and raiders anything's possible, they just keep raiding, pillaging, and stealing because that's all they know.

It's a war, and that man got too close to enemy lines! Their sense of entitlement and legal precedence has permanently broken the scales of justice, creating a landslide of injustice. This society is kin to a Piper Cub flying into a category 5 tornado!

Marriage, dating, divorce, and breakups, are on the rocky road of female empowerment, a road that goes nowhere else but misery and hardship.

What if I told you there's another road, a road less traveled, a road straight and narrow, free of bandits, checkpoints, taxes, and tolls?

Marriage is a contract between partners and the state. The state endorses and enforces this contract.

Where is the state in an engagement?

    What’s next?:

We went on a date once and you told me you liked me. YOU OWE ME!!!

Seems to me, when I was young, back when Betty and Wilma roamed the earth (ha), there was still this thing in the USA where if a man backed out of an engagement, there could be legal consequences, if pursued. Maybe someone here knows what I'm talking about. It's not the "Alienation of Affections" thing which first came to mind (and which is still legal in a few USA states) because that action involves a third party, according to what I just read.

Maybe this jilted bride is trying to capitalize off of that legacy.

    Yep:

What Is a Breach of Promise to Marry?

A breach of promise to marry, or simply, “breach of a promise,” occurs when a person promises to marry another, and then backs out of their agreement. In about half of all U.S. states, a promise to marry is considered to be legally enforceable, so long as the promise or agreement fulfills all the basic requirements of a valid contract.
The failure to fulfill a promise to marry is treated like a breach of contract. Meaning, quite simply, a party can hold the other party liable for breaking their promise.
The laws governing promises to marry are known as “Heart Balm Laws.” If a state does not enforce a heart balm statute, then no lawsuit may be filed for a breach of promise to marry. The parties will not be entitled to damages for losses. However, recovery may still be possible through a cause of action for fraud.

    Truly?

What about a female's promise to remain true and to shed hypergamy and tell Chad to stick his dick somewhere else?

    Is this legally enforceable?

Oh yeah, the Breach of Promise thing! My ex-fiance Aquatarkus didn't nail me with that! Whew! I dodged a tank!

The words that I made red made me think that having a Heart Balm Law is what allows the lawsuit. However, when I clicked on the link "Heart Balm Laws", I got an explanation that said a Heart Balm Law disallows the lawsuit. Check it out, what I made red:

    What Are "Heart Balm" Laws?

Long ago, a promise to marry someone acted just like any other binding contract. That meant that if a person did not follow through with their promise to marry another, they could be sued because they were in breach. Law suits over a broken promise to marry usually focused on three areas:

    1. The benefits to be had from the marriage
    2. Any losses incurred from the broken promise to marry
    3. Injuries suffered as a result of the broken promise. Injuries like humiliation, anxiety, and depression were commonly compensated

In some states, these laws focus on criminal conversion or alienation of affection. However, many courts began to disfavor awarding another person for a broken promise to marry them. As a result, many states passed "Heart Balm" laws, which abolished the ability to sue for a breach of a promise to marry.

    https://www.legalmatch.com/law-libra...balm-laws.html

Careful re-reading of that text tells me that what I placed in green is referring to laws other than the Heart Balm Laws which are not mentioned until the red part of the text.

Wondering which way to believe, I went to another site and saw this text, again I make red:

Courts have never been at ease in hearing cases alleging breach of promise to marry. The emotions involving a refusal to marry are usually so personal, intense, and possibly bitter that courts finds it hard and difficult to properly settle it. Furthermore there is a wrong notion that some alleged victims will use the threat of a suit (with its resulting publicity) to pressure a wealthy party into a generous settlement. For such reasons, many statutes no longer allow suits for breach of promise to marry. Statutes abolishing this cause of action are called heart balm statutes.

    https://heartbalmlaws.uslegal.com/br...mise-to-marry/
So, it sounds like Heart Balm Laws did us American menz a good turn by disallowing Breach of Promise lawsuits..

Sounds like this jilted woman (not yet a bride, why do they call it jilted bride) is described by this part of the above:

some alleged victims will use the threat of a suit (with its resulting publicity) to pressure a wealthy party into a generous settlement.
Wow, I had never heard of Heart Balm Laws.
