    Irish Politician Claims Homelessness

I was thinking of using a more imaginative title for this thread, something along the lines of “No wonder this cunt can’t find a home!”, but knowing Unboxxed’s dislike for click-bait I decided otherwise. (See Unboxxed, even I can learn – eventually! LOL)

I bring this up not so much as a political commentary, but more as an example of the cognitive dissonance women employ.

Also, apologies for the multiple links that all say much the same. I just wanted to make it clear where I was getting my info from.

Sitting Clare TD Violet-Anne Wynne claims she is homeless

Speaking in a video posted both on her Facebook page and on Twitter, she said she is currently staying in a holiday home.

Ms Wynne as a TD is paid €101,193 and as a Clare-based representative, she is entitled to €31,365 a year in travel and accommodation allowances.
She is currently renting a holiday home, so – not homeless – and has an income of €132,558/year (assuming she is claiming the allowance – a fairly safe assumption IMO).

Are you feeling her plight and desperation yet?

I’m sure those that are truly homeless see a kindred spirit in her, and those that work in charitable organisations that help the homeless will put her straight to the top of their lists of those in need of help. /Sarc

She claims to be attempting to highlight the situation in the housing market here, which is indeed dire, yet this is overshadowed by her own character and thus serves to further minimalize the issue (IMO).

‘Homeless’ former Sinn Féin TD Violet Anne Wynne fears partner’s use of medical cannabis may be putting off landlords

Former Sinn Féin TD Violet Anne Wynne fears her partner’s use of medical cannabis and their failure to pay rent at a previous rental property may be preventing them from finding a new home for her family.

She is also concerned her partner’s well-publicised use of medical cannabis to treat his epilepsy may also be putting off potential landlords from renting to her family.

“I have considered is that why sometimes when I have applied I haven't heard back or if I've gone to a viewing and we weren't successful,” she said.
    No shit Sherlock!

    First the “medical” cannabis:

Partner of Clare TD Violet Anne Wynne pleads guilty to possession of cannabis

At Kilrush District Court sitting in Ennis, solicitor for John Montaine (39), Patrick Moylan entered a guilty plea on behalf of his client to the illegal possession of cannabis at the family home at Pella Rd, Kilrush on February 11th last year.
    But wait, there’s more…

Mr Moylan told the court that Mr Montaine has 16 previous convictions with the bulk concerning road traffic matters.

Sgt Louis Moloney stated that two of the previous convictions concern driving with no insurance.
    Nice! /Sarc

Now the failure to pay rent bit. The way she phrased it, it could have been a minor squabble over one or two particular rent payments. Not quite:

Sitting Clare TD Violet-Anne Wynne claims she is homeless

According to court documents, Ms Wynne and her partner had rent arrears of €12,126 over a four-year period dating to June 3, 2016. Under the letting agreement dated December 1, 2011, a weekly rent of €63.64 was set.
Leaving aside the fact that in 2011 €63.64/week was a very low rent (and an odd one for that matter), I think it fairly safe to assume that any landlord would see any potential tenant that hadn’t paid their rent at a previous tenancy for FOUR YEARS to be an unacceptable risk.

Since someone of her standing (a T.D. – elected member of the Irish parliament) and income (€132,558/year) should have no problems securing a tenancy I’m pretty sure it’s down to the fact that she’s shacked up with a guy who has 17 criminal convictions and has a history of not paying her rent.

Also, I’m sure her six thugspawn will grow up to be wonderful, productive members of society. /Sarc

I’m left to conclude that her focus on the housing rental market here is indeed genuine. It must be difficult to find an idiot that would take on her and her “family” in such a small pool of landlords.

By standing as a shinner (Sinn Fein) she has pissed off most of the electorate. By being ostracised by Sinn Fein she has pissed off their voters too. At least there is balance – now she is despised by all.

As to why she was ostracised – it was because she was pregnant. What complete and utter drivel!

By the time of the next election she’ll have received well over €600,000 in payments – more if she gets on a committee.

It saddens me that a POS like this can get elected. Saddens me but doesn’t surprise me.

I wonder if it had anything to do with her being a “her”?

I can't blame her, it's not her fault Ireland cut down and consumed their forests ages ago. The only thing left to build with is sod blocks mortared together with sheep shit!

Sir, that is a scurrolous accusation that is simply untrue. We have plenty of rocks too:

Some of them are even as dense as our politicians.

As for the mortar, there's no shortage of shit around here. It just keeps getting piled on and on before the the earlier shit has a chance to erode.

"Once hearing that I was pregnant on our sixth child, the landlord did issue us with a notice to quit for that very reason"

I say the landlord did the right thing. I would do the same in his shoes.

"And you know, the property was far too small and obviously, an additional child was going to make space even more difficult for everyone"

She realize this as fact and put another mouth to feed in this clown world. She is pathetic dumb.

My mistake, the rocks come after all the sod is stripped and the sheep hoof out the rest! When it comes to erosion, corrosion, and dynamic human failure, Ireland never disappoints! No one can fuck a thing up like the Irish, we can fuck things up in our sleep!

Good man! Besides, I can much easier locate this particular thread at a later time, with the title you have chosen, than to have to open up every thread that has a title like what you wanted to use, to see what is really inside. I bet other members are also helped in this way. Thanks.

Yeah, I picked up on this too.

My guess is he was glad of the excuse. To kick a family out onto the streets over money might make him look like a POS, but to do it out of health and safety concerns makes him look like a hero.

Yes they do seem to display a lot of empathy/sympathy. Funny how they always seem to want others to do something about it though.

Okay, but I grew up in a family of eight, plus dog, in a 3BR, 1BA house of 828 sf including single-car garage. Three girls in one BR, three boys in another BR. We moved from place to place with the Air Force, always small 3BR 1BA houses. Bunk beds and trundle beds were the norm. That went on for about 15 years at least, until the oldest ones graduated high school and moved out.

None of our neighbors had houses any larger. Often smaller, IIRC. Who knew we were lacking?

Seems houses were just smaller back in the 50s and 60s, at least for my dad's military income feeding eight. I'm saying, I don't know what passes for too small of a house nowadays, or what is deemed too small to be safe.

Jackoff, what does "Clare TD" mean?

The housing regulations here in Ireland have quite frankly gone insane in recent years with regards rental properties. Whilst they are all designed with the safety of the tenant in mind – a good thing – the modifications that they insist on are often prohibitively expensive and in some cases simply impossible to implement resulting in perfectly good dwellings being taken off an already hugely undersupplied market – a bad thing.

A Clare TD is a TD whose constituency lies within County Clare on the west coast of Ireland.

TD stands for the Irish term Teachta Dála, a member of Dáil Éireann (or simply "The Dáil") which is the lower house of the Oireachtas (Irish parliament), the upper house being Seanad Éireann (the senate).

The position is broadly equivalent to a British MP or a US Representative.

Where can I move that there is no government? I'm tired of living where there is no government, just armed criminal thugs barking orders and making demands while pretending there is one. The Justices quarantine us in their silence, and the executives don't follow court orders or Massachusetts general laws chapter 140 sec. 32a (necessity of a license to operate) revoked under standing Zoning order to immediately CEASE AND DESIST, issued 17/18/1997 and lawfully obeyed therein and thereby closing this massive 280 acre condemned family campground with grandfathered building lots landlocked within and not lawfully accessible. 100% truth! The same truth we all see playing out in our governments as the western nations erode and fall into chaos and reckless endangerment.

We have traitors among us that don't care about god given rights or any sort of workable social contract. They'll have your neighbors homeless and shitting on your sidewalk when allowed to fester, infect, and kill lady liberty.

Somalia? No way! That market is all sewed up!

They clearly see us (men) as their slaves and barely try to hide. In their mind we (men) exist just for work for them. In the past they use reproduction as an excuse but now most of them do not want any offspring.

Only the mentally retard of conservatives defend women because of reproduction. It´s a pathetic excuse. Women nowdays only have a vagina to offer. Their uterus are just a cemetery.
