Re: I'm a gamma male ..is there a way i can change to sigma?

I cringe at the use of these ridiculous names in the "manosphere." Alphas, Betas, and all others. I marvel at how men get to the point where they don proudly a name only women can give you (let's be real, the feminine is at the behest of these categorical names). To get to a point where you let women determine the pedigree of your maleness or manhood is the bottom of degradation. Part of being a MGTOW is shedding the ego, completely freeing yourself of shackles like this. Be who you are and do what you want without worry of how it might look to someone.

If you go MGTOW, you opt out of the bullshit dating and marriage rat race where you get labeled fucked up Greek letters like "alpha" or "beta." Fuck that shit. With MGTOW, you walk away from the game. You're no longer a player, so you're liberated from all that alpha/beta/gamma/delta shit.

I don't know what "male" I am, but I don't use greek letters like they're covid variants.

I'm from the IDGAF group. Is there a letter for that?

So be that, and stop caring about stupid shit.

Why label yourself? Don't box yourself in. Be yourself and the hell with the idiots.

As you know guys its very hard to change your personality , so i wanna know if there is a way i can beat this personality because i'm tired of it cons
You can't really change your type (except maybe Deltas). We are what we are. Trying to be something we're not won't work.

Who keeps up with this bullshit, it's sounding like the 100+ gender benders now... I miss the good old days of Alpha's and Beta's.
They're just personality types, nothing more.

My membership is apparently too new to post a link to a useful guide. So, Google "The 6 Male Personalities: Alpha vs Beta vs Gamma vs Omega vs Delta vs Sigma" (with the quotation marks) and see for yourself.

If it helps, and if I've got my definitions straight, Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting is just about the gold standard of omega male. Ben Affleck in Good Will Hunting is your conventional beta as he (comedically) tries to blend in with every room he enters. Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting is the guarded delta male. Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne is sigma as the day is long (check out how he tilts the room in his direction in The Dark Knight when he, his girlfriend, Rachel and Harvey have dinner together). Vin Diesel is alpha in basically everything he does, esp the first Fast & Furious movie (I haven't seen the rest). And finally, Hank Scorpio from The Simpsons virtually epitomizes gamma males.

To the naysayers, I think these descriptions are useful because there is some accuracy to them. Men typically fall into one of those categories. I see no harm in being aware of that.

If you're still labeling yourself with their limiting labels that pertain to their mating game, you're still playing their game to some extent. The point of MGTOW is to walk away, to opt out. Refuse any and all cooperation with society's bullshit. Give them all your middle finger and then build up your life on your own terms. Their stupid labels don't help you in any way. You're a human. You're not one of their labels.

Whoever invented those labels, there is considerable accuracy to them.

And frankly, the nuanced and layered definitions makes me doubt that a woman devised them. Subtlety isn't exactly their strong suit.

Those labels relate to a man's influence on women, not to a man's actual personality type (see the 16 personality types online, I'm an INFP myself). There might be a link to personality in those labels i am just pointing out the main purpose of them.

I thought it started with alpha/beta, the alpha as a "winner" of female validation and the beta as someone who got none. The alpha with good looks, money/status and the ugly beta who has nothing of use... These labels are situational because it depends on what the girl is looking for most in a mate.

Wonder if the PUA'S added onto this dichotomy.

There is a marked difference between the psychology of the type A and type B man.
It has nothing to do with income, looks or game (desirability) or even social standing. It is simply the way a man is driven and his behaviour.
If I can break it down into the most simple terms, the type A man seeks to dominate and to confront, and the type B seeks to follow and get along.
All these other 'types' is armchair psychology BS.

To control and confront what precisely? Other people? Seems rather negative as opposed to positive, i've heard of agreeable people being less successful in life compared to disagreeable people so there is some merit to your claim.

Machiavellian people then would naturally be "alpha" because they do not get emotionally charged over the opinions of other people, making them often quite disagreeable. To play devils advocate here it seems that the title of alpha male is suitable for bad people not good (moral driven) people.

"Sigma" means you don't care what others think. It means you are independent and it means you don't even care what they call you or if you are Sigma or whatever. Stop caring what others think and expect of you.

It's a bit more subtle than that. Control only seems negative because of the connotation that most people associate with it.

The type A always seeks control of things, is always driven towards it. He does this because he believes he is superior in some way, whether strength, intellect, whatever.

It doesn't mean he does it by force. He's just a natural leader among others.

I don't think it's got anything to do with morality. One could argue that the type A is more moral than the type B who is prone to pretence and deception - which you have to do when getting along is the objective. Type A usually values honour and integrity. That is partly WHY he sees himself as a leader.

There are more type Bs and women running things now, an intentional subversion of the natural order.
