She knowingly and willfully committed acts which directly led to the death of another person. That's murder. She has a vagina though, so even though she's 18 she's not getting tried as an adult. WTF!? The pussy pass strikes again!

Switch the sexes and people would be calling for his head, but because she's a girl she gets off easy.

What kind of sick person encourages anyone to commit suicide, this piece of human waste needs to rot in prison. This poor guy was crying out for help not a push, it's sad that we have reached a point with so many people, that they have very little value for life.

This young woman (being 18 makes her a woman) is a sick piece of shit. But what she did is not the same as picking up a weapon and taking someone's life with it. Crazy people be crazy.

I agree that "involuntary manslaughter" is not enough, though. This is not a case of her actions unintentionally resulting in death. For not informing the family (school, hospital, police), sure - involuntary manslaughter, aka negligent homicide. Actively urging him to suicide, however, makes her accessory to murder.

She also posted several messages on Facebook saying how much she loved her friend and missed him.

Ah. That. Well, that makes the diagnosis a bit easier.

The scary thing is when you try to pull some men out of the fire they try to keep you there while the blaze rages nearby and starts to encircle your position. Some men can't be saved but you leave the chance of hope possible by leaving that door open in the chance they have a change of heart.

It isn't anything but willingness that keeps these men in their cages. In reality, there is no cage. The walls are their own invention, a pleasant fiction that makes it easier to deal with their perception of reality. To them, there is no door.

Nothing can be done for them. I've seen this in women as well. As I said to one just yesterday, "if you open your eyes and just look, you will see how free you can be." They're not slaves to a system, they're slaves to themselves.

Remember the scene in the Matrix with Neo and Morpheus early on during his training? Even with the Oracle. He has to decide to be free before he can be. The only thing holding him back is himself. It all comes down to choice. We cannot make them for people.

Massachusetts prosecutors say a troubled teen took his own life after exchanging texts with a fellow student who egged him on to do it.
Prosecutors from the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said Michelle Carter, 18, encouraged 18-year-old Conrad Roy to kill himself last July. They charged her with involuntary manslaughter Friday, a charge punishable by up to 20 years in prison, MyFoxBoston reported.
Roy drove his truck to K-Mart in Fairhaven, near New Bedford, with a gas generator and took his own life. The cause was carbon monoxide poisoning.
The station cited court papers as alleging that at the K-Mart, Roy got out of his truck and texted Carter. He told her he wasn’t sure he should go through with it.
“Get back in,” she texted back, according to the court papers.

The station said that after Roy’s death, Carter posted messages on social media saying that she missed him. In September she organized “Homers for Conrad,” a fundraiser to raise awareness about suicide.
“Instead of attempting to assist him or notify school officials, a counselor, a family member, anyone, Miss Carter is alleged to have strongly influenced his decision to take his own life, encouraged him to commit suicide on multiple occasions and guided him through the process, including the engage of activities that ultimately led to his death,” Gregg Miliote, a spokesman for the Bristol County DA, told the station.
Carter was released on $2,500 bond and ordered to stay off social media after a court appearance. Her next court date is April 17.
Her attorney Joseph Cataldo said it was unfortunate Roy killed himself “but it is outrageous for the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office to now criminalize this situation.”
Roy, of Mattapoisett, graduated high school a month before his suicide. Carter, of Plainville, graduates high school in June.
Roy’s grandmother is heartbroken.
“If she really loved him as she said she did why didn’t she try and prevent him not to,” Janice Roy told MyFoxBoston

i know she was bad, but the guy was a super chump. if he took it that far, i don't think he could be turned. note that he was driving a truck. i guess he had a lot invested in who he was with his money and reputation.
