I am only 21, I don't understand how the world works, but shouldn't the government be preserving jobs instead of eliminating them?
Actions such as automating jobs therotically create a net negative impact. They're turning a large docile working population into jobless angry people.
    How does this work?
This will literally create an intellectual gap in the future. We will be hearing about IQ privilege a lot a decade from now.
Don't assume the government is working for your interests.

An escort is a woman you occasionally financially support only when she has sex with you.

A date is a woman you occasionally financially support in the hope she will have sex with you.

A wife is a woman you constantly financially support even when she is not having sex with you.

An ex-wife is a woman you constantly financially support with alimony so she can have sex......with someone else.

Personally, I took the long path and that was to understand economics, politics, advertising, history, anthropology, psychology and science.

Result = Take all with a 'pinch of salt' and humour, work whichever economies you have access to like a good Confucian and keep your soul (private, trueself) safe.

1 The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.

2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
3 What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?
4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.
5 The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose.
6 The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.
7 All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
8 All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.
9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
10 Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
11 There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.
12 I the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem.
13 And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith.
14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
15 That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.
16 I communed with mine own heart, saying, Lo, I am come to great estate, and have gotten more wisdom than all they that have been before me in Jerusalem: yea, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.
17 And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit.
18 For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.

Flow with whatever may happen and let your mind be free. Stay centered by accepting whatever you are doing. This is the ultimate. Zhuangzi

someone asked the poet Sophocles: "How are you in regard to sex, Sophocles? Can you still make love to a woman?" Hush man, the poet replied, I am very glad to have escaped from this, like a slave who has escaped from a mad and cruel master."

Dont worry about me. Worry about why you're worried about me.

Remind yourself that there are some things you can control and other things that you cannot control. If it's something you cannot control, remind yourself not to fret about it and instead to put your attention on something you can control. There are a lot of wackos out there doing stupid shit. You can't stop them. So get focused on stuff you can make better for yourself, like your diet, your own surroundings, your skills etc.

Politicians are always going to suck, and there will always be dumb-asses out there. It's how it is. But you're the only person who can do your workout, for example, if working out is a thing for you. Same thing if your studying something like a language or a musical instrument or a profession. You're the only person who can do the work for yourself. So get focused on that, and don't worry about the world's dumb-asses.

This is probably my biggest problem in life because its incredibly difficult to not be informed because I'm naturally curious. I have NO REASON to be stressed or annoyed by goes on in the USA (my native country), I haven't lived there in almost EIGHT YEARS, but it does bug me, ESPECIALLY being a red-pill guy. At the end of the day the best way to simplify it is I'd rather be annoyed and informed than complacent and oblivious. If you follow history to any degree, you're well aware that it's never kind to the latter, they're the ones who always get caught between a rock and a hard place, while us annoyed and informed mofos have already split town saying, "Well, I tried to tell em!".
