Is it "getting woke, going broke" where you live?
Where I shop, their shavers have been heavily discounted. When I see those displays, I make a point of buying a competing brand that visit so there will be contrasting sales figures for the retailer. Over the last year, Gillette has been offering deeper and deeper discounts, but they can't maintain their ad budget, match their store brand competitor, and still make a profit.
I want them to get so desperate to win back their customer base, they donate to build a battered men's shelter.
I had bought a huge 72 shaver package from them 3 years ago. Didn't throw them out, but use one every month or two, just so they will remind me for the rest of life to boycott all P&G products.
Anyone else have any ideas how we can vote with our wallets? In this coming economic recovery, our spending will have an outsized influence.
Oh, and please remember to hold off any large purchases you will make until we get closer to the election. We need the economy to really take off around August so pollsters will register improved consumer confidence right before the election.
I told a car salesman in October of 2008 I would only buy a new car if Obama wasn't elected.I made sure to not buy any new cars during the 8 years of the Obama administration, and told my dealer I was only buying my latest car because of the Trump economy. I delayed several major purchases until after 2016, and let the merchants know.
